  1. Judging others

Mat 7:1.. "JUDGE NOT THAT YOU BE NOT JUDGED
Mat 7:2.. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you.
Mat 7:3.. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
Mat 7:4.. Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye?
Mat 7:5. YOU HYPOCRITE, FIRST TAKE THE LOG OUT OF YOUR OWN EYE, AND THEN YOU WILL SEE CLEARLY TO TAKE THE SPECK OUT OF YOUR BROTHER'S EYE.

Are we suppose to judge others? What if you see someone stealing something, are we to say something or just let them go their way? Notice in verse 5 says...

“first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.”

The ungodly know a part of a scripture, but they take every thing out of context, because they do not have a clue to what Jesus really said. This same thinking has spilled over into Christianity, and we say the same things. But this is not true!!!

The Church is going to judge this world and angels to!!! There is an entire book in the Old Testament called "JUDGES". These people were called "god's" because the Word of God came to them, and they simply spoke what they heard. It was as if God himself was standing right there in front of all of Israel, and there enemies!! Jesus tells us.....

John 10:34 Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, 'I said, YOU ARE GODS'?
John 10:35 If he called them gods TO WHOM THE WORD OF GOD CAME—and Scripture cannot be broken—

The Church is in the same position so as to SPEAK the very Words of God, not our opinions or our own thoughts.

Jesus commands us to judge, but not according to appearance, but with righteous judgment!! Jesus is telling us, you better not be doing what you are judging others of doing or you will be judged with the same judgment you are judging others with!!!! Jesus said.....

John 7:24.. Do not judge by appearances, but JUDGE WITH RIGHT JUDGMENT."

1 Co 6:2. Or do you not know that THE SAINTS WILL JUDGE THE WORLD? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases?
1 Co 6:3. Do you not know that WE ARE TO JUDGE ANGEls? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life!

Looks like we are going to judge this world, and also angels!! Maybe we better start practicing what we thought we are not suppose to do!!!

Rom 2:1.. Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, PRACTICE THE VERY SAME THING.

This is "EXACTLY" what Jesus said NOT to do!!!! That is to judge others when you yourself are doing exactly the same thing!!!!!

Mat 7:5.. You hypocrite, FIRST, TAKE THE LOG OUT OF YOUR OWN EYE, AND THEN YOU WILL SEE CLEARLY TO TAKE THE SPECK OUT OF YOUR BROTHERS EYE.

    Jesus Judged others...

Mat 23:23.. "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.
Mat 23:24.. You blind guides, straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel!

Joh 8:44.. You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Volumes could be written about Jesus bringing judgment upon certain people for their actions.

    John the Baptist also judged.......

Mat 14:3.. For Herod had seized John and bound him and put him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife,
Mat 14:4.. because John had been saying to him, "It is not lawful for you to have her."
Mat 14:5.. And though he wanted to put him to death, he feared the people, because they held him to be a prophet.

John lost his head for not compromising the Word of God and telling it like it is!!!!

    The Apostles judged......

1 Co 6:8. But you yourselves wrong and defraud—even your own brothers!
1 Co 6:9. Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,
1 Co 6:10. nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Co 5:1. It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is not tolerated even among pagans, for a man has his father's wife.
1 Co 5:2. And you are arrogant! Ought you not rather to mourn? Let him who has done this be removed from among you.
1 Co 5:3. For though absent in body, I am present in spirit; and as if present, I have already pronounced judgment on the one who did such a thing.
1 Co 5:4. When you are assembled in the name of the Lord Jesus and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus,
1 Co 5:5. you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.

1 Jn 2:22. Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.

All of the Apostles were killed (except John) for not compromising the Word of God, by speaking out against what was wrong.

1 Ti 5:20. As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear.
1 Ti 5:21 n the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of the elect angels I charge you to keep these rules without prejudging, doing nothing from partiality.

2 Ti 4:1. I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:
2 Ti 4:2. preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.

Tit 2:15.. Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.

1 Th 5:14. And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.

Eph 5:11.. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.

Pro 27:5.. Better is a open rebuke than a hidden love.

Judging is NOT CONDEMNING, it is speaking the TRUTH in love!!!

  2. What is this judgement that is so wrong.?
I don't think judgement is the same as discernment!

  3. There is nothing wrong with "judging" if it is done how it suppose to be done.

Jesus said make sure you are not doing the same thing you are judging others of doing. (Matt 7:1-5) Take the log out of your eye first before you can take the spec out of your brothers eye.
Judgement always begins with the house hold God.

The reason most people do not like the term "judging" is because most do not study the Bible to see what it says. How many times have you heard a unsaved person say, "judge not less you be judged"
We can make the bible say anything we want it to say if we take it out of context. Most believers do not study to rightly divine the word of truth, and just assume we know what scripture says. It is almost like we are taking our "cue" from the world.

The Corinthians Church brought shame to them self's because they would not judge between the brothers in their Church.

1Co 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
1Co 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
1Co 6:4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
1Co 6:5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?

  4. @Curtis so you think we should judge people on this site?

  5. What do the scriptures say?

  6. You are every single day judging, discerning, and rightly dividing the Word of truth that you see, hear, and read. If not then you are believing everything you see, read, and hear.

  7. I think that is using judgement which is different then judging someone IMO
