Job 6:5-7King James Version (KJV)

5 Doth the wild ass bray when he hath grass? or loweth the ox over his fodder?

6 Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg?

7 The things that my soul refused to touch are as my sorrowful meat.

Job 6:5-7Lexham English Bible (LEB)
5 Does the wild ass bray over grass,
or the ox bellow over its fodder?
6 Can tasteless food be eaten without salt,
or is there taste in the white of a marshmallow plant?
7 I refused to touch them;
they are like food that will make me ill.

5 Animals are happy when they have what they need they eat they have no problems. We have needs and Christ can meet our needs but often times there is for many struggle for these needs to be met that does not mean that Christ does not loves us because He died for us, Job was questioning why he had nothing left.

6 Some people eat egg whites because they are healthy for you. Truth is food is not meant only for tasting good some of the best things for us don’t taste great not every thing tastes like sugar and to much salt is bad for you. To have food to eat is much more important than to have good tasting food to eat.

7 Job may have been sick due to all the things that had just happened in his life, food is not eaten as much during times of mourning.

[QUOTE="clark thompson,

perhaps Job wasn't talking about normal food at all but spiritual food, in a similar way to Food for the stomach and the stomach for food
