Job 3:25-26 King James Version (KJV)
25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

26 I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.

Job 3:25-26 Lexham English Bible (LEB)
25 because the dread that I feel has come upon me,
and what I feared befalls me.
26 I am not at ease, and I am not at peace,
and I do not have rest, thus turmoil has come.”

25 Fear is something that is common but what we need to remember is God is bigger than anything that we could fear. Once our greatest fears come true what is there to be scared of any more, Job had nothing but what he was scared of the most, God was there for him to turn to though as He is for us.

26 Our peace does not come from things of this world but thru our Lord giving us life. Our rest is found though Him, we can be revived in Him and have energy to keep going. We should take all our troubles to Him but often times we keep them to ourselves as Job did and wait till the last minute to go to Him.

Hello Clark.

Excellent comments.

1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Amen DHC,
If you would allow me to I would like to add something to what you said here. I have found that many Believers see this perfect love as it must be perfect BUT God is not looking for perfection but obedience or a willing to be willing heart to simply obey. It helped me big time when I grasped that this is a "perfected love" or another words a continuous work in progress by learning His ways and putting them into practice.

Maybe this is just me but once I saw it like this, I guess it took the pressure off and I began to grow in love.
Again Thanks for the great reply.
Blessings
Jim

Hello Brother Clark,

Thank you for all your time you put into your post here and in the others forums. I do not always reply but i do read them and appreciate them very much. It amazes me how so many believers get hung up with this book of Job. They forget job was a man just like any other man and was subject unto the same things we are. He had a flesh that was able to worry and fret and pace the floors and so much more just like a man today does.

In the scriptures you quoted - Job tells us in his own words why all of this took place.
Any time we begin to act out of fear and speak out of fear we give the devil right to-steal - kill and destroy.
This is simply taking our mind and hearts off of Jesus and the written word of God and placing a fear or storm or even a need above or another words giving it more focus then you are trust and fain in Christ and the ewritten word of God.

I mean there are some fears that are good for us. Example a fear of stepping out in front of a moving car. Fear of the Lord which simply can be seen as respect or reverence for Him.
Thank you again Brother Clark
Blessings
Jim

These are the words of Job, not the words of God.
The main point of these words are just to inform us about what Job was saying and thinking at this point in time.
Job was thinking "oh, everything i feared, it has come true! i didnt have security! o woe is me!"
