The Jewish people worldwide will soon celebrate Purim.
The threats against them in the day of Queen Esther have not ceased across the years. The Jews are still in the crosshairs of such terror states as Iran, Syria, and their neighbors in Gaza.
Iran will likely have an atomic bomb this year. Its target: to wipe Israel, the rotting corpse, off the map. Israel will have to disable Iran’s reactors this year.
When that attack takes place, all hell will break loose; a great number of Russian Jews settled near the Gaza border will be killed.
The towns near Israel’s borders with her enemies will be particularly vulnerable — especially those along the Gaza border. Gaza is armed by Iran, and will launch thousands of rockets against Israel.
When the siren begins to blare out a warning, its unspoken words are, “INCOMING ROCKET! INCOMING ROCKET!” The people in the little town of Sderot have just twenty seconds to find shelter from the deadly assault.
Often, the only recourse is to do as the mother and two children did; flatten themselves on the sidewalk and pray for the best.
I was in Sderot during the Gaza/Israel war. I heard the wail of the sirens and the deadly whistle of the incoming rockets. I saw the people of Sderot as they tried to carry on daily activities while the threat of destruction was a constant companion. It is vital to provide accessible bomb shelters during an attack.
As you can see from the video below, I was in Sderot during the Israel-Gaza conflict in 2008. I filed the following report from Sderot during the height of the battle to stop Hamas from targeting innocent Israeli civilians:
