Isolating ourselves

God doesn't want us to isolate ourselves. In praying for His disciples Jesus said, "As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world" (John 17:18). If we isolate ourselves from others, we have no impact and demonstrate a lack of love. But neither does God want us to become like the unbelieving world...The Bible warns, "All that is in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the Father
but is of the world" (1 John 2:16). Let Christ fill your life, and there won't be room for the world.

-Billy Graham-

May the love of Christ be
with us today and always

Thank you for this post it is actually a very important subject and I do hope that people will learn something from this.

Having the experience I want to emphasize that isolating oneself really really doesn't work.
I had a choice and decided to isolate myself, meaning that I could have easily choose not to.
It is a conscious decision - I could have chosen to trust and believe in Christ, but my feelings was hurt and for no explainable reason I decided not to.
I had to bear the consequences which was loneliness, depression, worthlessness, instability, no direction, no balance, almost every negative feeling that you can think about.
Jesus came and rescue me even though I chose to be where I landed up (His love is so great) and it was not worth the effort in the first place. Now I have to journey back to where I was before my wrong choice, wasting a lot of precious time.

TO EVERYONE READING THIS - PLEASE DON'T ISOLATE YOURSELF IT IS NOT THE ANSWER TO ANY PROBLEM THAT YOU MAY EXPERIENCE!

THE ANSWER IS TO RUN TO GOD IN PRAYER.

Many blessings!!

Now I have to journey back to where I was before my wrong choice, wasting a lot of precious time.

I'm still making that journey, and I know its worth it. Sister I believe our come back will be greater from where we left off.
Your latter will be greater than your past, the best is yet to come.
