Mark 11:30
The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
The baptism of men is done by man, and can therefore only wash the outside clean with H20.
The baptism of God is from heaven, and is able to wash the inside of man clean with Living waters.
Seek the baptism that can only be given by God.
1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
'And they come again to Jerusalem:
and as He was walking in the temple,
there come to Him

.... and the scribes,
...... and the elders,
........ And say unto Him,
.........."By what authority doest Thou these things? and
............ who gave Thee this authority to do these things?"
And Jesus answered and said unto them,

And they reasoned with themselves, saying,
.. "If we shall say, From heaven;
.... He will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
...... But if we shall say, Of men; ... "
........ they feared the people:
.......... for all men counted John,
............ that he was a prophet indeed.
.............. And they answered and said unto Jesus,
................ "We cannot tell."
And Jesus answering saith unto them,
"Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things."

'For as the body is one,
.. and hath many members,
.... and all the members of that one body,
...... being many, are one body:
........ so also is Christ.
For by one Spirit
.. are we all baptized into one body,
.... whether we be Jews or Gentiles,
...... whether we be bond or free;
........ and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
For the body is not one member, but many.'

The Holy Spirit identifies us with Christ, in His death, His burial, His quickening, and His resurrection to life: that when He died, the believer died, when He was buried, the believer was buried; when He was quickened to life, so was the believer, and when He arose from the dead, the believer did too, and now the believer lives in newness of life before the Father, IN HIM. This is baptism BY the Holy Spirit I believe: complete spiritual immersion into Christ, our Saviour, our Lord and our head, as members of the Church which is His Body,
'the fulness of Him that filleth all in all' (Ephesians 1:22-23)
