Is there Venial and Mortal sin?

There is some prophecy for what I am experiencing and what is to come of it. I am not going to share that just yet. I am first testing to see how indoctrinated everyone here is.

Question; do you think it is a wrap concerning gaining more knowledge concerning the meaning of the everlasting gospel? Do you think that some of the doctrines of denominations have been wrongly formulated, even in your denomination?

I would trust a denominational doctrine based on the written word of God that isn't opposed to the scriptures much rather than any subsequent private prophesy that is not troubled by conflict with the written record. Some denominational doctrines arose, for instance, over the entrance of perceived fleshly immorality of popular musical artists like Elvis Presley, offending some with his fleshly "dance", resulting in prohibition of all dancing. There's still a poster on the all of my wife's childhood Baptist church prohibiting such use of the body in public. Dancing indeed has degenerated morally in many venues since then. The adherents of that doctrine believe they were right to deny that activity.
2 Peter 1:19-21 (KJV)
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Likewise, whatever private prophesy you have received is for you to work out with the Lord according to the bounds of what is already written, for legitimate prophecy requires perfect testing and confirmation by the whole of scripture and appropriate fulfilled historical proofs. If you declare an untested prophecy that can't be tested to a satisfactory conclusion, then you are subject to be found a false prophet if that prophecy is legitimately arguable using the written word. Some advice: keep it to yourself until well verified due to wide distribution by the Holy Spirit.

Rom 7:7; What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, "YOU SHALL NOT COVET."
Rom 7:8; But sin, taking opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind; for apart from the Law sin is dead.
Rom 7:9; I was once alive apart from the Law; but when the commandment came, sin became alive and I died;

Coveting alone is a bad enough sin for us to die.

Jas 2:8; If, however, you are fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture, "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF," you are doing well.
Jas 2:9; But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
Jas 2:10; For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.

Partiality alone is the same as breaking ALL of the law. If you've ever committed one single sin, you are just as guilty as if you broke every sin.

There are no "little white lies". There are no "grey sins". Sin is sin. Some sins may be worse than others (blasphemy of the Holy Spirit).. but All sin leads to death.

Jas 1:15; Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.
Jas 1:16; Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.
