Is it just a myth

Just throwing something out here as I am fairly new to all this.
Am I correct in saying that any religion can only ever be a belief as we surely all know that outside of life there is surely nothing. Every single Scientist must know that things that go bump in the night and fairys at the bottom of the garden do not exist. This must be the same for all mythical creatures. After all its only a Myth. As for Jesus yes I get that. A real person with a massive influence with many followers but to advocate he was the son of God (A Mythical none existent being) is sure farcical at best. As much as i slightly envy the notion that we go to a better place I am yet, and will never be convinced that this can happen. If it can please advise me cos I would love to jump on that train.
I know this may upset a few here but I am looking for an intelligent discussion on this.

Jesus was a historical person. There is a lot of evidence that points to many people, places, and things in the Bible.
1. A lot of verses and books cover prophesy.
2. If a real person, place, or thing is named then it happened.
3. Whenever Jesus spoke in parables He NEVER used any named thing (real).

Science can only explain a TINY fraction of Creation and how it works.
Ex.1 If you saw something that your mortal, limited human mind could not explain how would you describe it?
You'd use what words and ideas/symbols/etc. to convey what you saw.
That's what some of the Christians who experienced other than natural things did.
Hollywood "dragons" are not what God created.
If cave drawing exist of "dinosaurs" exist, then humans saw them.
They can't be "millions of years old" as nature would've worn them away.

We are a curious bunch but also easily prone to emotional compromised, easily frightened, and a mob mentality even when the cause is unknown.

All of Creation screams of complex design. DNA alone is evidence of a Creator.

You believe that Jesus existed historically, but not in what is historically believed about him, nor do you accept the words attributed to Him by His followers. Correct?

Hi I get most of that but with all the billions of people that have lived here should there not be some type of proof of this existance by now. Do you beleive in the afterlife and ghost etc. Nothing proven. I want to believe but I am an engineer / science driven person that always looks for cause and fix. What about the thoughts that aliens started life on earth? That is far fetched but evolution and Charles Darwen, Stephen Harwkins surely has to be the correct answer.

In summary, Jesus didn't travel far during his 3 year ministry.
If you look at where and how far you'd see He wasn't having a worldwide effect which only came about after time.
There was no social media, email, cellphones, etc. In fact, written words on animals skins was expensive and time consuming. Romans eventually controlled a lot of land. Jews were allowed to mostly do what they want.

If you're expecting a "picture" or drawing of sorts b/c cameras didn't exist, you're going to be disappointed.
Given what God used and the people his general appearance can be understood.
He did NOT stand out in a crowd and could easily "disappear" Into one.

Maybe you've heard of the Shroud of Turin which has been controversy for decades.

If you need evidence to "see and believe" you don't know what faith is.

Lastly, I suggest you watch this and pursue this channel for more info. Most importantly you must be open to something you don't agree on.

Science that takes God and the spiritual out of the equation are only refusing to admit that those aspects are valid, only because they cant put them under a microscope and study them.... and yet these type of scientifically slanted people refuse to see their own "faith" in things that have no logical answer. Like there is no fossil records of ANYONE showing the transitional people that must exist for their "weak theory" of evolution to be true. Likewise, they dont want to say that God could be eternal or able to create something out of nothing, yet they have NO answer to how the matter and energy that resides in our universe came to be. They can only speculate about how the movement of matter throughout the universe shows a starting point, but not how the initial matter came to be other than "it was always there" LOL, thats basically what christian say about God that they cant accept as "scientific". Its a simple as this, many scientists are "anti" creation theory, even though they have no evidence to show that its wrong.

Darwin himself started as a potential preacher before Satan whispered in his ear and made him doubt.
His own studies on worms prove Earth is young and I suggest you read it.
Also he several times admitted he could not imagine how things like eyes coudl ever have evolved.

Perhaps both you and Darwin would have benefitted from understanding just what Genesis 10:25 means? 25;And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided;

As you claim to be an enginer/science person as was I you should be able to look at Earth today and wonder why it is 70% water, 10% desert, 10% icy mountain and just 10% cultivatable land?
The answer is that in the Days of Peleg GOD causd the crust to break with slabs - what you call tectonic plates - sinking to make the great ocan depths or rising to make the mountains with their many layers of sediments that prove The Flood was real.
And then you should be able to accept the findings of scientists who say that if all the ice on antarctica and the mountains melted it would cover Earth 213 feet deep.
My bungalow is only 60 feet above sea level so when the ice caps melt I'll have to have an ark ready or drown along with billions of others.
