Hello to all

WHY I JOINED: I joined because I enjoyed the response posted by one of the members to a thread with Nibiru as subject.
It proved that some people on the Web are still sober and reserved enough to dismiss nonsense as nonsense, so I thought that I would join up and try to allow more of this "reserved sobriety" into my time behind the screen.

WHO I AM: I am one of the typically flawed people who often fail and do things that fall outside of the boundaries of our Faith. To me, this is important to mention because I am chided by conscience whenever I visit here, but something tells me that this is as it should be, and this is why I should visit

CHURCH AFFILIATIONS: I don’t go to church because wherever I have tried to attend, I was disappointed with what people have done to it.

I HOPE TO GAIN: Time away from things that I should not be involved with, such as “adult content” on the web.

I CAN OFFER: Nothing special yet apart from testimony.

HOPING: To grow in Christ and I hope to be of some use to Him still.

FEARING: Other peoples’ opinions and judgements. Always have.

Hello,

I have only been a member here for a week or so, I found this site because I was seeking a closer walk with the Lord, and a rest from the worldly sites that are so easy to find.

When I read over you note I found myself in your words, and as I have seen Chad say to someone eles your are not here by mistake.

My favorite words of Christ are these

Mat. 11:28 "Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

I know that there is rest in Jesus, not because someone told me so, but because the Holy Spirit of God Led me to it.

I will Pray for you that you will get all from this site that the Lord has for you.

Thank you Reddawg. "Rest", as your quoted scripture has defined it, is what I appear to have found here indeed: this morning I wanted to see what was new on TJ, rather than the usual sifting through the (as you rightly say) "easy to find" stuff, particularly pornography.

So, I pray that the "novelty" of TJ will not wear off for me but that it remains forever tucked into my Favorites/Bookmarks and Recent Browsing History, if you know what I mean. Honestly, porn is poison, but without Jesus' direct influence I am powerless over it.
