Luke 1:37
For nothing will be impossible with God."

If you seriously want to make sure someone your chatting with is who they say they are, here are some tips I've learned:

1. Video Chat. You can see it is actually them, up close and personal. Live video chat assures each other of their appearance (i.e., no fake photos).

2. Phone conversation, personal touch on the phone.

3. PRAYER (first / foremost / always)

I think is not impossible at all I know nothing's impossible f or God.
But I agree in the fact that it's weird and I definetly like the old way.

Maybe just because the last place where I would think I could find my husband is in internet, God will show it to me through it xD
jajajaja

I only wanna trust God, He'll see how He wants to send it to me...

I insist... I don't like it.... I would love to meet my husband personally

Yes, with God's favor:wink: as what brother Chad has quoted from the bible itself "nothing is impossible with God"

To happily tell you sister Lau, I and my hubby are one of those blessed results of this internet dates...

But I did not intentionally posted my profile for the sake of that matter. It happened that I joined a secular forum and through there I met lots of people, men and women alike... Joining that forum was just a sort of my diversion while having research works for my M.A. degree studies... In our case, we'd known each other well first in long emails before we started indulging in "chat rooms".

To make my love story short (lo), I met my ex-bf and became friends there for a year before he risked his life to see me personally, then on his second visit we were married...then, followed by the third and just last January, he's here with me for his 4th visit while my US visa is still under processed...

See, God is good. He has made us one despite our race, our color. He granted us His favor because we both have the same spiritual creed and we both have the same desire to serve the Lord by forming a complete, happy christian family

Well, I don't think you can trust the person you are chatting in the chat room because you haven't seen that person. So you will not be knowing him/her personally.

If you want to get married, why don't trust in God and seek His presence. Just don't worry about a thing, God will take care of all the things you require. All you need to do is to seek God's presence and He will take care of all of your life.

Please read these comforting verses from the bible:

Matthew 6:25-34:

Verse 25: “So I tell you, don’t worry about everyday life, whether you have enough food, drink, and clothes. Doesn’t life consist of more than food and clothing?

Verse 26: Look at the birds. They don’t need to plant or harvest or put food in barns because your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than they are.

Verse 27: Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Of course not.

Verse 28: “And why worry about your clothes? Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing,

Verse 29: yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.

Verse 30: And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won’t he more surely care for you? You have so little faith!

Verse 31: “So don’t worry about having enough food or drink or clothing.

Verse 32: Why be like the pagans who are so deeply concerned about these things? Your heavenly Father already knows all your needs,

Verse 33: and he will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.

Verse 34: “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

God bless you.

The best thing to do is simply give it all to GOD. Don't try to write the love story yourself, otherwise your going to have a hard time enjoying each other for the purpose GOD intended and trusting each other, let alone you might be with someone GOD did not plan for you.

So leave it at the Cross and let GOD handle your love story. Then you won't have to worry about who to trust in person or in chat, forums, emails, etc. Trusting people in person or online is no different in the end. Both can lie to you.
