Incredible Story..

In 1986, Peter Davies was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Northwestern University .
On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Peter approached it very carefully.
He got down on one knee and inspected the elephant's foot and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it. As carefully and as gently as he could, Peter worked the wood out with his hunting knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man, and with a rather curious look on its face, stared at him for several tense moments. Peter stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned, and walked away. Peter never forgot that elephant or the events of that day.

Twenty years later, Peter was walking through the Chicago Zoo with his teenage son. As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to near where Peter and his son Cameron were standing. The large bull elephant stared at Peter, lifted its front foot off the ground, and then put it down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man.

Remembering the encounter in 1986, Peter couldn't help wondering if this was the same elephant. Peter summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder. The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of Peter legs and slammed his stupid *** against the railing, killing him instantly.

Probably wasn't the same elephant.

This is for all of my friends who send me those heart-warming stories. :)

Yep...... musta been a different Ellyphant.....

But you never know about animals. I grew up on a farm and one time I was about 12 or so and a young bull was caught in a fence. Lying on its side and feet up in the air, wire cut into its leg.

There was an old outhouse in the field, with a door that had no latch.

I got some pliers and cut the wire and that Bull blamed me for all his troubles, uh oh......once he could stand he would shake his head and act the fool and here he come right for me, I zipped into the old outhouse and would peek out. Every time that Bull would see me it would hit the outhouse with a charge and rock it around.

My Dad got home fairly soon, saw what was going on and put the dogs to the Bull and off he went. In about a week he sold that one. That one become McDonald Burgers. I suppose with super sized fries.......

I had a big Doberman once, very nice dog, but my oldest son did something to the dog, do not know what, all I see is the dog pushing my son into the floor like a dog does when they break the back of a coon or animal.......took the dog out to live with my Dad, eventually returned the dog to the kennel it was born at.

Animals are pretty neat, some very cute, but none can be trusted absolutely.

Enjoyed your stories.......

I have a mixed breed, right now, and she is the most loving dog I've ever owned. I'll set her food on the floor and the cats will walk over and stick their heads into her bowl and she'll just sit there watching then until their done and will start eating again.
