Thinking about doing a refresh design for Talk Jesus community here, possibly using a different software platform as well to replace the current. It'll still remain a "forum" software nonetheless. Please vote at this poll and share your feedback.

    If you miss miss EVERYTHING

    This is a true incident

A man in his late forties lay in hospital in the city of Edinburgh. He knew that he was soon to depart this life, despite all the medical profession had tried for him. Calling the staff of the ward to him, he thanked them individually for all they had done for him...and told them he was soon to leave them to be with Christ whom he had trusted loved and served.

Then calling to his bedside two young doctors who had done much to help him...he thanked them most sincerely, and told them he was soon to die. he then said "you are two young men, with the possibilities of great careers before you, but if you miss Christ in this life - you miss everything".....the two young doctors were moved to tears by the tender appeal of a man with a conviction as to the future. That night he passed from time into an eternity with Christ.

We might ask ourselves "But how can anyone speak with certainty and conviction with death so near?"

The only answer is, a personal experience of accepting Christ as Saviour.

The Bible states clearly the ruin of man through sin.

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God
    (Romans 3:23)

and the helplessness of man to atone for sin

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly (Romans 5:6)

But God in mercy provided the perfect sacrifice for sin in the person of His Son Jesus Christ

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God (1 Peter 3:18)

His death on Calvary fully met every demand of a Holy God, and also meets the need of every sinner who will bow in repentance before God and place trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour.

This is just what the dying man in this incident did....and what you my dear reader and traveller to eternity must do if ever you are to share heavens joys and shun hells horrors.

Time's is running low - Eternity looms ahead. Our hopes for heaven all rest in Christ. Our security against eternal judgement is Christ. He loves you He died to save you...turn to the Saviour now

Dear reader IF YOU MISS CHRIST ....YOU MISS EVERYTHING.....please ask yourself where will you spend eternity?

  2. Thank you Julia, for sharing this message.

It is the simple truth, and is relevant even now.

I also encourage every reader, and also those who think they are saved from the judgement to come, to consider this question.....

    if you died tonight,

    where would you spend eternity?

The Lord is faithful and true and will hear if you call to Him.... so do so today, while it is still today.....

for tomorrow may never happen for you.

    Bless you ....><>
