God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit they are one God in three persons all a the same time. The Holy Trinity and/or Godhead. In the Bible it talks about Jesus is God, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit is God in us. John 1:18, Romans 8:38 Jesus is God in us, Gen. 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth...Gen. 1:26 ...and let "us"...they work as a team. but are one in each other enveloping each other. God the Father is Spirit and also the Holy Spirit is Spirit, Jesus has a glorified body, but yet is everywhere present in spirit. They are never divided Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is one God. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one not Fathers, Sons, and Holy Spirits. When we accept Jesus Christ as our savior the Holy Spirit comes to live inside us and the entire trinity comes too. It is the "function" of the Holy Spirit to reflect Christ to change us into a Christ like follower.
