I Will Praise

Excuse me forgive me don't mean to offend anyone
I know this place has elders and deacons giving rules
But please don't tell me how I should praise the Lord

I will praise the Lord for one reason only for saving my life
He bled on that tree with a crown of thorns on his head
Saving me from my shame least I could do is praise Him

If the Holy Spirit wants me to praise and dance like David
If the Holy Spirit wants me to shout and clap my hands
Give a joyful noise that’s what the book of psalms says

I will praise in the House of the Lord the way He commands
Wether it be a building made of brick, cement, siding or skin
In a mall, steeple or not I will not let the rocks praise for me

Now wait a minute I said by what the Lord says not what man says
Don't give me that shall not praise the Lord that way verse doesn’t fit
Unless your claiming the Lord all mighty is an idol

If your offended or ashamed at the way I praise the Lord
Then look on the inside your problem is with Him not me
It is the Holy Spirit that leads me who is Jesus Christ

It is Jesus who lifts my arms in praise, who moves my feet
It is Jesus who’s shouts praises, His heart that cries out
For it is Christ that lives in me I am His Body Mind and Soul
