I Pray For

When I wake up each Morning
The first thing I do
is I say I Pray For
and God a loving Hello to you

I pray for peace, understanding
mercy and love
That it will be answered from God
in Heaven above

I pray for the light of day
and that God will
lead me on his path
and in his Way

I pray for forgiveness
and to wash away my sin
If I don't pray for that
then Lord don't let me in

Don't open your door
to be with you
Your Son's on the cross
so That I knew

So I'll just keep
praying for another day
I'll keep praying
to hear what you have to say

It's your Word I'll
be wanting to hear
I pray for eternal rest
it's with you I want to be near
