I need Thee, O I need Thee

Discussion in 'Prayer Request' started by Fragrant Grace, Feb 3, 2018.

  1. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
    Hebrews 4:16

    I need Thee every hour
    Stay Thou near by;
    Temptations lose their power
    When Thou art nigh
    I need Thee, O I need Thee;
    Every hour I need Thee!
    O bless me now, my Savior
    I come to Thee

    I need Thee every hour
    In joy or pain;
    Come quickly and abide
    Or life is vain
    I need Thee, O I need Thee;
    Every hour I need Thee!
    O bless me now, my Savior
    I come to Thee*

    *From Annie S Hawks hymn I need Thee every hour 1872
  2. He is there with you sister! I pray you feel His presence deeply.
  3. Thank you brother @Brad Huber

    We always need the Lord
    And there are those times when for reasons unmentionable that need is very deep.....and knowing that deep presence of His love and care is an amazing balm.

    Thank you for your prayers during one of those moments of need brother.

  5. "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. (Matthew 6:31-34)
  6. Greetings Sister,

    smells beautiful to me!

    Yes, as Richard Wurmbrand pointed out, when the flower is bruised, it releases its fragrance.

    @Fragrant Grace
    May you ever know the love and care that the Lord has for you and be able to see Him in Who your life is hid, Fragrant Grace. Keep your eyes firmly on Him not on any circumstances.

  14. Thank you brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ our Lord.

    I have truly felt the blessings of your prayers and presence of the Lord.
    I was not expecting such a beautiful abundance of responses.

    Sometimes a heart can be breaking, overwhelmed and chipped at emotionally by circumstance. It may be so minuscule in comparison to suffering in the world.....but enough on a personal level to hurt. As believers we all hit that point at times...but what a blessing to know the touch of the Balm of Gilead and the encompassing prayers of the saints.

    Thank you Jesus
    Thank you brothers and sisters

  15. Have we trials and temptations?
    Is there trouble anywhere?
    We should never be discouraged;
    Take it to the Lord in prayer.
    Can we find a friend so faithful
    Who will all our sorrows share?
    Jesus knows our every weakness;
    Take it to the Lord in prayer.

  16. Amen! Thank you! I love this old hymn.
  17. Lord Teach me your ways and help me make them more real then life itself.

    I am an open and willing vessel to burn brightly in this dark world stuck in the deception of the darkness.

    I am so very Thankful that you Will Finish the Good Work that you started in me long ago.

    Somewhere along the way I have lost that burning Passion for you and your ways.

    I am so very thankful that no darkness can put out your Light and I too shall burn Brightly with the Light of Your Most Holy Word.

    I shall stir up the Amber's of your light until they burn like a raging Fire within me.

    This one thing I am sure of is that you have never left or forsaken me and I am ever so thankful that You Love me!

    A loving and thankful heart I give unto thee.
    Thank you for believing in me.

    And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
