7 "Can you fathom the mysteries of God?
Can you probe the limits of the Almighty
Job 11:7

And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
Acts 18:26

Realizing Apollos didn't have the full story, Aquila and Priscilla took him aside. They didn't interrupt the service, but they privately shared with him the message of the Gospel.

I love Aquila and Priscilla for being there with hearts to serve in humility. And I love Apollos for being teachable. After all, he could have said, 'Who are you, you tentmakers? I am a man mighty in the Scriptures, eloquent of speech, fervent of spirit - read Acts 18 if you don't believe me.' But that wasn't his heart. Apollos shared what he had and the Lord sent Aquila and Priscilla to give him more.

How can you know more about the way and heart of the Lord?
Share what you already know.

I read about an Army paratrooper who recently completed his 2,000th jump. Asked by one of his students why he got into parachuting, he answered, 'I was an infantryman 15,000 feet in the air when the third engine on our plane went out. I jumped because I had no other choice.'

When do you become a teacher, a Bible student, an evangelist? When you take the jump, knowing you are the person on your street, in your office, or at your school who knows more about the Kingdom than does the person next to you.

God will give you opportunity to minister tomorrow if you choose to take it because I guarantee you will find yourself next to someone who is dumber than you concerning the things of the Lord. And when He does, you can either say, 'I'm not a pastor. I don't have a lot of knowledge theologically. I don't know that much about the Bible, so I won't say anything,' - or you can be a Priscilla or an Aquila and say, 'I may not be a pastor or a theologian, but I know more than this guy next to me, so I'm going to jump in and share with him because his plane is going down.'

Dear rizen1

God bless you for sharing this message,
I had been asked to join the elders and serve in my church but I told them to give me some time to pray and think over it.
I have been giving many reasons to my self the last two three days not to become an elder of church. I thought I am too young because the rest of the elders are over 40 years old; don't have enough maturity to be an elder in more than 200 member church.

Any way when I read your post today, God spoke to me to share what he already thought me and what he already kept in me thus far.

I need prayer though I am still not feeling confident to take over this responsibility.

Many blessings

I will pray for you.
I'm sure you desire in your heart to do God's will and he's everything to you. You really do need to pray about this, and stop seeing yourself as " young in Christ", your church members see something in you.

I'm only 22, and alot of older women come to me for prayer. We must make ourselves available for God, even if we're not ready.

God wants a willing heart, Pray and ask God to show you his will, let him know you're not ready, but you're willing to get ready.

Thank you Lord.....

for sister R.!

Reading this post was a true blessing to me.
You are blessed,
