I couldn't regularly meditate on the Bible!

Dear Brethren, More than one year ago, i cannot read and meditate the Bible regularly. And even though, my Lord GOD does not stop sending many sisters and brothers to me for prayers. And though it happens i tell the truth that i became very lazy. In the beginning of the year 2010, i decided to read the Holy Bible in the whole what i never did before. I started well, but just about two or three weeks later, i stopped on the way and till now, I did not go back into reading and meditating regularly the Holy Scriptures. Of course that I read a book of daily meditation some day but never every day. And what is very strange, i am very motivated to send biblical verses for others' exhortation while I do not meditate regularly for myself, i mean for my spirit, my soul and mu mind and my body which all need spiritual food. "Oh my Lord GOD, I need You to come and bide in the whole of me through filling in me with Your Holy spirit so that I be a sanctified and purified instrument at Your service by winning souls for Your kingdom here on earth. Amen!" Thanks in advance to pray for me!

The truth is, we need to help ourselves before we help others. Otherwise, the encouragement we give won't be as encouraging as it should be. What we use to encourage should change us first before we go lead others to Christ and encourage others. My pastor preached a sermon recently that the church needs to be a church of the WORD. I'm not saying this stuff as if i'm an expert, like i said, i'm in the same boat. We might not want to read, but we HAVE to. It's our only encouragement. Others may encourage us, but that encouragement comes from the Bible through them anyways.

:lightbulb When you can't read God's word for one reason or another, try one or more of following.

Praise the Lord inspight of these henderances, He is Mighty to save to salvation but also from minor things.

Sing God's word &/or hear it sung for free.
Not every verse in the Bible has been put to music, but a good bit of it has.
