I am Free!
Just how is it that you've come to put your faith in Jesus Christ? Look back upon the journey of your soul. Can you see the path to life in Christ? Is it clear how the Son has set you free? Listen to these words from Galatians 5 in The Message paraphrase. "It is absolutely clear that God has called you to a free life. Just make sure that you don't use this freedom as an excuse to do whatever you want to do and so destroy your freedom. Rather, use your freedom to serve one another in love; that's how freedom grows."
Thank God Almighty I'm free at last! Or so the song goes... May we never forget this awesome reality. God sent His only Son to secure our eternal freedom! Remembering this helps keep us from disgracing ourselves. Who would stray from so great a salvation? Ah yes, as Scriptures says, "If the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed." Yet it is the Word of God that reveals the Son of God. "Your Word is Truth... You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free."
And, lest we forget, it is God's Spirit that teaches us, reminds us, convicts us, and reveals the truth about Christ to us. In fact, it is as the Holy God lives in us by His Holy Spirit that we are truly set free from sin and death. Victory comes as we echo the cry of Paul. "So I say, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the evil desires of your flesh." God be with you all...
