Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time
(1 Peter 5:6)
At times we may be crushed in life, waiting for blessings, expecting for a good opportunity, expecting a good thing to happen in life, etc., waiting in patience and humility. The Lord will reward our humility and says He will elevate every one who is humble.
The Bible says, “Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time” (1 peter 5:6). The Lord will lift us up in life when we humble ourself under His mighty hands. The Almighty God came down to earth as Lord Jesus Christ and lived like an ordinary person. He humbled Himself and was obedient to the point of death on the cross. In Philippians 2:9-11, the Bible says that Father God exalted Lord Jesus Christ above every person and above everything in this world and in Heaven. Secondly, the Father has exalted Him, that every knee should bow down at the name of Jesus Christ. Thirdly, God has exalted Him that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord.
The Father says, "I will give you the same inheritance as I gave Lord Jesus Christ because You love the Lord. I will give you grace that makes you highly exalted on this earth and men of power and demons shall bow before you, I will exalt you to make you enjoy all goodness in life. "
How does the Lord exalt you in life and make you enjoy His goodness?
When we are humble under the mighty hand of God, the Lord will exalt us that the world will be awe of. The Bible says, “He made him ride in the heights of the earth, that he might eat the produce of the fields; He made him draw honey from the rock, and oil from the flinty rock” (Deuteronomy 32:13).
The Lord will make us ride in the heights of the earth and feed us with produce of the fields. He will make us draw honey from the rock and oil from the flinty rock. The Lord calls the things that do not exist though they existed and He shall make us draw honey from the rock.
We may say, “I cannot rise up to the level and I am losing everything in life.” But the Lord says, “I will make you draw honey from the rock and I shall feed you with the finest wheat.” The Lord will give you supernatural blessings and elevate you in life. So rejoice in your humility for your reward is on the way!
