we always here of the days of and after jesus arrest. however what we never really hear about and alot of people have not thought about is the days before his arrest.

when jesus set out to do the work of his father, he left everything behind him. he tells us that he had nowhere to lay his head. he was homeless. i have been myself homeless and know how hard it is to find shelter from a storm or keep warm on a very cold night. i also know what it is like to lay on the ground and wake up with your muscles and joints being all sore and out of wack. every movement you make it sends pain through your back and legs.

the word also states that he walked from this town to that. i once walked 27 miles from one town to the next. i remember that my feet were swolen,cut and blistered. my legs were strained, tired and sore. my mind was tired and needed rest. it took about 2 weeks to completely heal from it.

with some of the physical pain out of the way. lets look at the emoyional and spiritual pain jesus suffered before his arrest. he was often mocked and made fun of. i know as a young child i was made fun of teased and many times for no reason accept mans cruelty. that hurts and cuts through the heart like a knife. we do not like to be teased or picked on ar hounded.

how about the times that he saw people turn from him for being righteous. knowing that there soul would probably never see heaven or even taste it again. the blaim that was laid upon him when he was simply doing what he was told to do.

the pain that jesus suffered started long before the day of his arrest. he went through pain all through his ministry.

Amen, ushalk. Tomorrow when it's not so late I will return here and look up some scriptures that came to mind as I read your post.

I appreciate what you say. It really needed to be said today. Thanks, ushalk.

Very heart touching post brother. Jesus went through emotional and spiritual pain that we cannot fathom. Physically, let's look at how He was beaten for our transgressions. He was beaten so badly, his figure was beyond recognizable. :(

Isaiah 53:1-3

1 Who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
And as a root out of dry ground.
He has no form or comeliness;
And when we see Him,
There is no beauty that we should desire Him.
3 He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

chad-yes that is very true. he went through much more than any of us could fathum. he walked through life on earth for us and took pain on top of the pain that he already felt from our sin. wow what an awesome lord we serve.

dreamer- please do share scripture, i do not have my bible with me today but i will also share some scripture as soon as i get a chance.

thank you llj. i am a pro on the computer and know everthing there is to know about it. lol ah yes i will search online bible.

i like your post. however i do believe that there is a difference between guilty and conviction of sin. we all alredy know that we are guilty of sin. but to feel remorse for sin is completely different because at that point then we do not want to keep on in that sin.

the pain that jesus suffered started long before the day of his arrest. he went through pain all through his ministry.

I must add, the pain our Lord Jesus suffered started way back in the garden,
when man and woman chose wanting to become as gods, over having a relationship with God...it continues on to today.

Gen 3:13 And the Lord God said to the woman, "What have you done?"

Good message ushalk.

Great message indeed brother ushalk, I don't know if I will be homeless one day, it feels like I am some days, especially now in my life, but I do know that Jesus went through it first.

If anyone could help me find the scripture where the Lord said He didn't have a place to lay down His head, I would appreciate it, my keywords are wrong today.

God bless
teraside

Matthew 8:20: Jesus told him, "Foxes have dens and birds of the sky have nest, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head."

:lightbulb Ushalk, you are so very welcome. And thank you for starting this thread. I think you expressed yourself very well. Sometimes, when the Word of God is hidden in our heart, it is expressed out in our words....without adding what page it is on or what chapter or verse. You know what I mean?:love:

Can I share here some verses that the Lord gave me when I was homeless?

Just as Jesus had no place to lay his head at night, I experienced this to a much lesser degree, nevertheless, I was homeless.

My daughter and I had been staying in a shelter for battered women for a total of five months. It was time for us to go. The administrator of the shelter had decided that my time there was up and had informed the housemother to start pushing me out.

I came home to the shelter that day, when my shift at work was over. The housemother had assisted the resident of the shelter in moving all of my things, and my daughter's things, to a room that was not as nice as the one we'd been staying. The housemother said that someone else needed Michelle and me's room.

I know the housemother was not trying to be mean; she was just told what to do from the director. It was not a christian organization; it was an organization run by United Way, nevertheless, I am still very thankful for this org.

I was sitting in the room, praying and reading my bible. The sun was streaming into the window, causing the room to look even pretty and cheery. I'd held down a job while living at the shelter and had saved up some money, but not very much. I hadn't had any luck finding an apartment. Where was I to go? My daughter was already enrolled in the public school system in that town and I didn't want to move her to another school again, as she'd already been moved numerous times.

I can't explain how I know this, but the Lord suddenly came into that little room. He spoke to me and told me a passage to read. It was Psalm 84.

I will post it here: How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord of Hosts.
I long and yearn for the courts of the Lord;
My heart and flesh cry out for the living God.

Even a sparrow finds a home,
and a swallow, a nest for herself
where she places her young--
near Your altars, Lord of Hosts,
my King and my God.

How happy are those who reside in Your house,
who praise You continually.

Happy are the people whose strength is in You,
whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
As they pass through the Valley of Baca,
they make it a source of springwater;
even the autumn rain will cover it with blessings.

They go from strength to strength;
each appears before God in Zion.

Lord God of Hosts, hear my prayer;
listen, God of Jacob.
Consider our shield, God;
look on the face of Your anoited one.

Better a day in Your courts
than a thousand anywhere else.
I would rather be at the door of the house of my God
than to live in the tents of the wicked.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield.
The Lord gives grace and glory;
He does not withhold the good
from those who live with integrity.

Lord of Hosts,
happy is the person who trusts in You!

Okay, there was the scripture. But this isn't the end of the story yet, so keep reading please:sun:

I knew for sure as I read the scripture that God had a special place just for Michelle and me. I knew for sure he had us a home. I just sat and rejoiced and smiled and prayed quietly, when I heard a knock at the door.

I said, "come in," and the housemother strode in confidently.

"God's giving Michelle and me a home," I said excitedly, casting my pearl before a swine.

"Oh, yeah?" she answered sarcastically. "Well, you haven't had much luck getting an apartment before. Your lawyer just spoke to me on the phone and she says you should apologize to your husband and go back home."

I just stared at her, aghast.

Finally, I said, "Apologize to him?" It just boggled my mind.

"No," I said. "There is a place for Michelle and me. God already has it."

She just laughed and had an extremely skeptical look on her face. Then she walked out of the room without saying anything.

Within one week, Shell and I were in a nice, clean government housing apt from HUD, one bathroom (no more sharing bathroom with other residents!) and two bedrooms, and one small, clean kitchen with refrigerator and stove.

So there!:sun:

:lightning POW! Smack that devil right in the face

yes i do know what you mean. but it is good to know where they are incase some one has not seen it for themself.

yes, I find that I need to tell people where I found scripture. Otherwise they might think I made it up! God forbid that.

P.S. I think I added quite a bit of editing to this while you were posting your last post, Ushalk, lol.

thank you for sharing dreamer. never ask permission to share, if it is from the lord it is for a purpose. always. the lord does what we need. just like in that story. you and your daughter were stuck in a bad place that was about to throw you both out into the streets and the lord hooked you up. i would be willing to bet that he did it a day or two before they had you planned to be kicked out.
