How does faith in God brings us freedom
Most people are enslaved by anxiety, worries, thoughts of revenge, hate, jealousy, feeling of inadequacy and selfishness. Lack of faith in God’s love is the common cause for all these enslavements. When we have doubts about God’s love we get anxious and worried. This makes us selfish. Furthermore, when we do not have faith in God’s love, we try to solve our problems by ungodly or hateful ways- such as: law suites, war, divorce and revenge. On the other hand, if we trust in God’s love; we know that His love can solve all the problems in the world. We will, therefore, solve our problems by forgiveness, mercy, compassion and self-sacrifice. Furthermore, if we believe that only God’s love in our heart is the true treasure we have; and also believe that no one can take this treasure away from us; then, we will feel secure and be free of anxiety, worries and selfishness. Furthermore, if we trust God we can be generous with our time and resource in helping others, because, then, we would not be worried about our own needs.

Trusting God (faith) is a decision, not an emotion and it involves risk; it involves relinquishing control of the outcome. Relinquishing control of the outcome requires humility - an admission that I don't really know what's good for me, that God does, and that He always has my best interest at heart.

It amazes me how freeing it is to see the Lord's hand at work in my situations when I let Him steer my life.

Most people are enslaved by anxiety, worries, thoughts of revenge, hate, jealousy, feeling of inadequacy and selfishness. Lack of faith in God’s love is the common cause for all these enslavements.

Faith comes by hearing the Word of Christ. When we don't have faith, we hear God's Word and through the revelation of God's love in our hearts, a seed is planted in our soul. As time passes, the seed grows to a tree and bear fruits. If you lack of the faith in God, hear his Word and eventually, you will have the faith to believe. When this happens, your enslavement to sin is gone! Praise the Lord !

When we have doubts about God’s love we get anxious and worried. This makes us selfish. Furthermore, when we do not have faith in God’s love, we try to solve our problems by ungodly or hateful ways- such as: law suites, war, divorce and revenge.

Perfect love cast out FEAR ... and FEAR = False Evidence Appearing Real (I don't know who came up with this and will give credit to this person who came up with this excellent acronym.)

When we trust ourselves more than God, we sense a lack in His love and this gives way to our ego. When this happens, selfish desires rise up to our flesh. Ego blots out the light of Christ in our lives and gives the illusion that we are far away from God's love.

For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son ... how much more will He do for you if you truly believe that Christ crucification has given you God's favour, love and mercy. It's no longer the "I" that matters, but Christ the center of my life!

It's not a matter of trusting God, but to have that revelation of what Christ has given you through the Cross ! AMEN.
