Hope for the Future, Faith for the Past?

Hope for the Future, Faith for the Past?

We always “hope” for the future in that our hope will come “one day”. The bible tells us that hope comes from the Word of God. Paul said in Eph 2:12

Eph 2:12 That at that time ye were WITHOUT CHRIST, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and STRANGERS FROM THE COVENANTS OF PROMISE, HAVING NO HOPE, AND WITHOUT GOD IN THE WORLD:

To be without the covenants of promise which were given through the Word of God, is to be without Christ, to be without God, and having no hope in this world!! Hope for the future comes from the Word of God! God who is the Word said.....

Jer 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, TO GIVE YOU A FUTURE AND A HOPE.

Hope, and faith are not the same thing, but they come from the same source! Faith, and hope come from the Word of God.

We do not need faith for the future, but we do need faith for hope to come to pass in the future! Jesus said.....

Mar 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED IT, AND IT WILL BE YOURS.

Notice: this scripture does not say that faith is believing you are going to get what you prayed for! It says it believes it has already received it, and only then will it come!! Faith, and hope work together, but they need to put in their proper place within our understanding!

Faith does not believe you are going to get something, it believes it already has that something (past tense)! That something is what you hope for! (future tense)

What about all that waiting time between faith, and our hope becoming manifested? Since God is not limited or restricted to any time frame as tomorrow, or next week, because every day to him is the same day. The Lord never wakes up and see something new as there is only “one” day in his Kingdom. God sees all things finished and completed from the moment he by faith called them through his Word!! We are the ones that look forward to the future for our hope to come into completion!

If a person really has “faith” in that he has already received when he prayed, then there should be no questions as to when it will come because he believes he already has it!!!

Supernatural faith, and hope, works by love who is God! (Gal 5:6) (1 John 4:8)

Now abides faith, hope, and love these three, but the greatest of these is love.(1 Cor 13:13)

The greatest is love because God who is love causes the other two to work together.

The hope that every single believer has, was given by God for the same purpose is not a dead, (like looking at a “static” picture hanging on a wall) but a “living hope” where there is life, and where people are living!!!!!

1Pe 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be BORN AGAIN TO A LIVING HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Faith takes what the future of hope will be and brings it into the present! How else could a person believe he already received it unless he has “evidence” that proves it?

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN.

Faith takes what can not be seen by hope, sees it, and interacts with it.
