Hi Everybody. I am here because i want to learn more about Christianity and, hopefully, make some Christian friends. Although i was raised a Christian, i lost my faith in my late teens. I've been through some tough times and find myself angry and depressed a lot of the time. I think i am finally starting to accept Jesus into my life once more.
Yesterday, i picked up a Bible for the first time in years and started reading the introductions. My plan was to try and read the Bible cover to cover, but i saw on a Christian website someone else being advised to start with the Gospels, so that's where i am going to begin. Do you know what? I am already starting to feel more positive. I know i have a long journey ahead, but it's one i am looking forward to. There will be no more shadows from my past, my spirit is free at last.

Greetings,

Welcome to the forums brother. I'm glad you decided to return to the Lord and yes, reading the Bible certainly is uplifting. Its GOD communicating with us directly. How awesome is that? :)

Welcome aboard 1 Holy 1
Hope that you will enjoy the site and the varied personalities you will find here

Check out the testimonies of the different folks around here, and you'll see how and why they believe as they do.

I pray that one day you will be able to call Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior as many do here.

May you also one day be able to add your own testimony to the rest here at TJ.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Thanks. I am enjoying my time here. There is a lot to read here. I'm also reading the Gospels. I've started with Matthew, and am up to Jesus and John the Baptist. I'm reading it slowly to try and understand it more.

Thank you. The more i learn about the Lord, the more i am certain i will accept him as my saviour.

And when you do the following verse will really start to make sense, and you will be amazed, because it starting to sound like He's already made that decision in you!
Romans 8:29-30
