Hi, I'm Makena. A friend of mine told me about this place a couple of days ago and I thought I'd look around and get to know some more people who love Jesus.

I live in Norway. So my English is not perfect all the time, but you'll be mercyful, won't you all?

Grace and peace!

Hi Makena,

Welcome to the forums.

Hope you enjoy the community

Howdy Makena, and welcome to TalkJesus. So are you into Cross Country Skiing? as I have heard that that is a big sport up in Norway.

Hello and I am glad that your here! I hope that you will be involved in a lot of uplifting and God glorifying conversation here. Thanks

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

I used to, but now I'm getting too old ... it's a grandma you're talking to

Okay, I do go to the gym several times a week so I'm sure I could have done some skiiing, too, but the fact is that in my part of Norway we do not have much snow in the winter.

Will I'm very impressed, I have heard that Cross Country Skiing is one of the healthiest exercises one can do. Even if you don't ski much anymore. Not much snow that sounds like HEAVEN! But why do I get the feeling that means you only get a couple of feet of snow during winter? I have never tried to Cross Country Ski before, but I love watching it, during the Winter Olympics.

Naw, not only a couple of feet where I live in the southern part of our country.

"Sounds like heaven" ... does that mean there is a lot of snow where you live?

And wow ... lol ...an American who loves to watch cross country skiiing ... isn't that someting:wink: I have the impresssion that most of my American friends do not, but rather prefer basket ball and football. And I do not understand the first thing about American football. Soccer is THE thing over here.

You are right, cross country skiiing is a healthy activity ... you get to use a lot of muscles!

Blessings!

Yea, I'm rarelity in my love for Cross Country Skiing. I guess it doesn't hurt that we Americans got our first Gold medal in Nordic Combined Skiing at this years Winter Olympics.

Really don't care for Soccer (European/World Football), but I would watch it over Basketball any day. But as for American Football I'm a big fan.
