Umm .. a bit about myself i guess. I am female in my early thirties, fairly recently divorced (a year ago), but getting on with life. I work in the Bio tech field, specialising in Embryology, and spend a lot of time travelling. My hobbies include mountain biking, skiing and reading.

I guess i would describe myself as agnostic; i went to a religious school (Roman Catholic), however the more science i have been involved with the more i struggle with belief in a God. I would like to be convinced there is a God; however i have had little success!

C.S Lewis

Hello Cinda, The best advice I can give you is to read C.S. Lewis Mere Christianity. In my opinion it's one of the best christian books out there that will give you guidance on your doubts if there is a God. The book has given me a new direction and a secure foundation the God does exist and will be active in my life if I choose to let him in. Have a Wonderful Day!!

Welcome to TalkJesus, Cinda. As has been suggested, C.S. Lewis' Mere Christianity is a good reference for Christian apologetics. I would also suggest the works of authors Josh McDowell, N.T. Wright, Lee Strobel, and Charles Colson.

Well i suspect they are one and the same, as if you have an experience with him then you (obviously) know that he exists.

My problem is faith does not come very easy to me, i have faith in the scientific method, but only because its been proven to work. I guess i cannot have faith without a level of proof.
