Her Name Was Beautiful

Our favorite restaurant has a waitress whose name-tag reads "Beautiful."

"Is that really your name?" I asked her.

"No" she admitted. "But if people are going to holler at me all day, I can at least be called something I like."

Isn't that the truth, though? I was thinking that God calls our names as beloved or beautiful no matter what other people holler at us. We always have that assurance that God loves us, even though people may take their frustrations out on us or misunderstand us.

Also, if we could just look at other people that way! Instead of seeing a person as a pain in the neck, look at them through God's eyes.
