hi there,
my name is kevin. I'm a born again bible thumping Christian. Joined the forum after doing a google search and reading a discussion here. I'm 26 years old and my church has almost no one my age to hang out with so im pretty much a loner, figured it can't hurt to chat online and make some friends. After all, if you're saved, we'll know each other for a long time.
I wrote my testimony in the form of a poem and I figured I'd share it here:
I was born in sins vice grips/
At war I’d abhor your niceness/
My lord was the lord of shysters/
In love with a ***** and my own devices/
He walked this chasm like a roaring lion/
I couldn’t fathom the love of the Lord of Zion/
Blinded by sin I enjoyed defian/
Lonely like I was on my own private island/
I mocked and spit at his crucifixion/
Living to die, a walking contradiction/
Ignoring conviction/
I lived by the laws of Charles Darwin and science fiction/
I am the chiefest of sinners/
Sold my soul to the cheapest of bidders/
My whole life was like an episode of Springer/
Tried hard but never came out a winner/
And without a single glimmer of hope/
Jesus tossed this sinking swimmer a rope/
I was a mess and he applied some soap/
And washed me clean and dressed me in his robes/
you sprung this young dumb bum from a prison of dung/
So ill run to where you hung/
And live life obediently/
Because immediately you made me free/
