My name is Abdul and I hope to learn a lot from here. I am currently working as a student and working part-time at a gas station. I have a lot of hobbies on the side, one of which is pursuing one of my interests, religion. I am writing an essay on Christians and the move to the internet and I hope you can answer some of my questions:


1) What is your denomination? (Protestant, Catholic e.t.c)

2) What brought you to this forum?

3) Does the relative anonymity of being online change how you act towards people in terms of religion?

4) Do you do charity work or make donations to charities?

5) How many Holy Books have you read entirely? (Bible, Torah, Quran e.t.c.)

6) Do you pray? If so, how often and what for?

Remember, you don't have to answer these questions, they are optional! I am simply trying to get a better understanding which will help with my essay. Feel free to ask any questions about myself and I will answer them as best I can.

3) Does the relative anonymity of being online change how you act towards people in terms of religion? Not really. I try to show and live with the love that was given me through Christ Jesus.

4) Do you do charity work or make donations to charities? Not much except to individuals, and yes to donations as able.

5) How many Holy Books have you read entirely? (Bible, Torah, Quran e.t.c.) Entirely? None

6) Do you pray? If so, how often and what for? 4 to 5 times a day. Thanksgiving mostly. My family, my country, for those who do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.

Here are mine

1. Muslim (Sunni)
2. I do not study religion in an academic environment. Believe it or not, I find studying and writing essays are actually fun and help pass the time or expand my world view. I'm a bit crazy for liking study but that's just my personality .
3. Yes. I am already familiar with Islam, but I wish to learn more about Christianity and Judaism. Then, more obscure religions and maybe afterwards, ancient roman history.
4. Sometimes. Like all religions, 95% are cool, mature and fun people. The other 5% are absolute nutters who conveniently ignore "Love Thy Neighbour".
5. I don't believe so.
6. Yes, I do. I pray for piece of mind and a simple life. Not one free of hardships of course, no-one can avoid that.
