I'm so glad to have found this Forum! I was googling for something else and stumbled in here. I like the discussions and found no restrictive doctrinal issues that I must stick to in order to stay like some other boards have. I look forward to the fellowship and getting to know you guys.
I'm now 55 yrs old, married, and have 2 grown up sons. I knew about God when my mom taught me how to pray at age 4 or 5; my mother, grandma, and great grandma were all Christians but my father was a staunch unbeliever up to the end. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior when I was 12 and was baptized at 19.
l'm a Christian but I don't attend church and was not particularly "religious" all through the years of my life. I was busy with my business and all the cares of the World; however 3 years ago something unexplainable happened to me, like a light switch was suddenly turned on in my heart and mind. All the sin in my life, the people I have hurt, the memories came flooding in. Many times in my life I already prayed for forgiveness for the wrong I've done but this time it was different, I knew God was calling me, there was an urgency like it is already 'time'... but time for what? I didn't understand; that night I prayed with all my heart and cried to the Father for mercy and forgiveness. I promise to do his will and keep all his 10 Commandments for there was one I knew I must keep but never did until that day.
The next morning immediately after I clicked on the very first page on the internet I was amazed to see an ad for a book about the 'end time' staring at me... then I knew. I bought the book and was shocked not much by the new revelation but more on how God is calling me out or that's how I feel.
Since then I've dusted off and open my old Bible after many years of it lying dormant in my bookshelf. The revelation and prophecies have come alive to me like it never did before. God has given me understanding. I have shared a bit of my thoughts with some of my family and friends when they asked. As I expected most of the Christians of them got upset and angry, while the non-believers thought I went nuts. Only in the forums with knowledgeable believers that I made sense. So it is really true to the core when Jesus said the World will hate you for you are different.
