Hello this is NewDawn

I must admit that being a born again Christian hasn't been easy, it’s hard.
This is my first post on TJ, hopefully there will be more.

I live alone and my faith in Jesus is through myself. I have been brought up (raised) by an atheist family,
my grandma visits spiritual meetings..
I never followed that frame of mind.

Mostly I try to find meanings of scripture and some I follow and understand.
Going to church is hard for me because I have no one to go with me.. I watch sermons on the internet.
I'm isolated, I have my own house but live alone. It has been brought to my mind that this way of life is quite good though...
because there is...
no temptations.. I have tried to speak of the good news to others and they don't listen.

I tune into audio bibles and read at the same time... It helps so much
The book of Revelations has stirred my up though, I was intrigued, human nature right?
what does this mean?
how can I ever be good enough for god? to be saved?
Praise isn't good enough! living by the law (10 Commandments) is also important, if more so.
Our works and praise!

Welcome New Dawn

I hope you enjoy the fellowship and support here at TJ as much as I do.

I am a single parent, so basically I'm on my own as well as far as being a Christian.

The two things I try to do every single day that I have found to be so incredibly helpful is I come here every morning to pray and read the Daily Devotionals and then again every evening before bedtime to fellowship, read and pray. This site has made my world so much bigger and so much fuller. I don't feel that loneliness I used to feel so often before I found TJ, so I highly recommend at least one visit per day.

The other thing that helps is to be involved in a Church that is very active having things like Bible Studies, Fellowship meetings, ministries for just about any need you could think of and wonderful people. I remember only last year complaining about having to go to Church alone and now I never feel that way.

So, hang in there, take one day at a time and get as involved as you can with other Christians and the Joy of the Lord will fill the loneliness!!!!!
