Hello everyone!!!!!

Hello I backslid years ago, I've now had a major life changing injury that has humbeled and stoped me in my tracks and I'm trying to find my way back to God. I've found when your posed to be led by the spirit of God and are not but we are led by our own self we cant just turn God on like a light switch when we get ready. I have some bad habits I need help with I need lots of prayers. I cant wait to have fellowship and make friends in christ. Everyone please bear with cause I'm computer illiterate. and cant spell very well.

What IS important is you are seeking God now. You are a new creature in Christ. That is very important to realize, He has made all things new.

Ephesus was a church that had left it's first love, yet Jesus did not cast them off. Jesus gave them simple direction, "Remember from where you are fallen, repent and do the first works..." Revelation 2:5

My advice to you is simple, Confess your sin to Him, believe He has forgiven you and love Him for what he has done. We are all in that same boat, sinners, saved by the grace of God.

Jesus said, "Take my yoke (steering device) upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls." Matthew 11:29 Learn to apply that principle and He will steer your life, your soul will find peace in Jesus Christ.

After Peter fell, in denial of Christ, Jesus restored him with 3 repeated phrases, "Do you love me? Feed my sheep. Do you love me Peter? Feed my lambs. Do you now love me? Feed my sheep." John 21:15-17

Do you see a pattern here? Jesus did not 'beat Peter up' over his rejection, Jesus had paid the price for all of our sin. Jesus had two directives: Love Him and serve the flock of God. This is our mission as Christians, pure and simple.

Your life experience will speak volumes to someone else, Your knowledge of Jesus' forgiveness and your joy of salvation are valued assets in serving God's people.

I pray the Lord's best for you, as you look toward Jesus...

Welcome to the forums brother. I'm sorry to hear about your injury, but Almighty GOD is greater than our issues, circumstances. I know that His love and grace is sufficient, it is written so.

2 Corinthians 12:8-10

8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

I want to share this wonderful scripture at church yesterday...

Judges 6:17-18
Gideon replied, “If now I have found favor in your eyes, give me a sign that it is really you talking to me. Please do not go away until I come back and bring my offering and set it before you.”

And the LORD said, “I will wait until you return.”

As if it wasn't enough that Gideon doubt it was really God talking to him, he asked him to wait.. imagine asking your boss to wait?
this is the Lord himself that answered.
