I am new here at TalkJesus. I haven't actually accepted Jesus as my savior (yet). At the moment i am an atheist. Religions interests me and that is why i study them in uni.

Its more about accepting the fact that there is a God who has made his Son Lord over all because he is the only perfectly righteous man to ever have lived. No need to search anywhere other than the bible for answers. The bible explains who Jesus is in person. The result of understanding this is one of two things. Loving the light that Jesus is in person and thus being so attracted to the beauty of his person that you spend your days working to be just like him OR Hating the light you see because you love darkness and deciding you would rather walk away from the light that exposes the darkness of your heart.

I once had a man tell me he was an atheist trying to scare me off...its what that title seems to do when used against Christian faith..BUT i can tell you now that its alright to say that GOD dosent exist..God dosent belive you exist either.:wink:.that is to say you have been created in the image of God wheither you admit it or not..Its still the fact!God must really be seekling you out(God can use the Holy spirit to place an unction in mans heart to seek God and his will for their lives) .Im glad you came here ..i just want to assure you that God has a plan for you (from before your mothers womb) and it is with out repentence or recall...I pray that God reveal Himself to you in mighty fashion and that he shine His face upon you and make His Holy presence known that you may begin to fullfill all that He has in store for you..Your journey is only begining and the best lies ahead..seek God in all things and you will find HIm always..you are a child of God and he is waiting for you to invite Him in to fellowship with you..May you answer the door and welcome the lORD OF HOSTS FULLY IN TO YOUR LIFE ....REV T.S.Perkins

first off let me say im sorry that many have left you feeling like we would be hateful....sometimes we forget we are the only bible some people see(we are living epistles before all men ) secondly Christ is not a warm and fuzzy feeling only... He seeks out a walking talking realationship with us on a dailey basis ..the word says that there is one who will never leave us or forsake us and walks closer than a brother....belive me when i say you cant make yourself nor will Christ make you fellowship with him..but if you open your heart and invite Christ in he will rush to show you his great love for you....Rev T.S.Perkins

Your right. You cannot just make yourself believe as God must reveal the himself unto you. That said, make sure your not ignoring the revelation he has already given you in Creation. Read Romans Chapter 1 and you will see this truth there.
