Healing of the Physical body?
Is it possible to have our physical bodies healthy from sickness in this world? The scriptures tell us that man can not receive anything from God unless it has been given to him from above.
John 3:26 And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.
John 3:27 John answered and said, A MAN CAN RECEIVE NOTHING, EXCEPT IT BE GIVEN HIM FROM HEAVEN.
Here it is referring to “men” coming to Jesus as the results of God having given men to the Lord to hear his words.
How can we “know” what these things are that have already been given to us his Church from above?
2Pe 1:3 According as HIS DIVINE POWER HATH GIVEN UNTO US ALL THINGS THAT PERTAIN UNTO LIFE AND GODLINESS, THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIM that hath called us to glory and virtue:
2Pe 1:4 Whereby ARE GIVEN UNTO US EXCEEDING GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
The Bible is filled with thousands of “promises” from which we get the “knowledge” of what has already been given to us by God.
Notice: a promise is not something that deals with the future, it tells us what we already have! (this is very very important)
What are some of the promises that tell us this?
Psa 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Psa 103:3 Who FORGIVETH ALL THINE INIQUITIES; WHO HEALETH ALL THY DISEASES;
Notice: God first must forgive us all our iniquities (sins) before he heals all of our diseases! Why? Because sickness is the result of sin! If there was no sin there would be no sickness.
Act 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and HEALING ALL THAT WERE OPPRESSED OF THE DEVIL; for God was with him.
Sickness is the spiritual oppression of the Devil who is the father of sin!
Pro 4:20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Pro 4:21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
Pro 4:22 For they are life unto those that find them, and HEALTH TO ALL THEIR FLESH.
The Word of God is that which gives us life, and brings “HEALTH” to all of our “flesh”!
If we know God has provided our health to ALL of our flesh through his Word, which gives us this knowledge, how can we know for sure that the Lord “wills” us to be healed?
Mark 1:40 And a leper came to him, imploring him, and kneeling said to him, “IF YOU WILL, YOU CAN MAKE ME CLEAN.”
Mark 1:41 Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, “I WILL; BE CLEAN.”
Mark 1:42 And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean.
A leaper knew Jesus had the power to heal him, but he did not know if Jesus was “willing” for him to be healed. Jesus said, “I WILL; BE CLEAN” and immediately he was healed!
All of the promises of God are yea and in him Amen, (2 Cor 1:20) which means God has already willed for all of his promises to be fulfilled to us and in us.
How can I know that God hears me when I pray for healing?
1Jn 5:14 And THIS IS THE CONFIDENCE THAT WE HAVE IN HIM, that, IF WE ASK ANYTHING ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, HE HEARETH US:
1Jn 5:15 And IF WE KNOW THAT HE HEAR US, whatsoever we ask, WE KNOW THAT WE HAVE THE PETITIONS THAT WE DESIRED OF HIM.
Nobody can receive anything from God unless it has already been given to him from above! Nobody can receive those things which are already given us from above unless he first knows the will of God! Why? Because faith only comes from knowing the will of God, for faith comes by hearing, and by the Word of God! (Romans 10:17)
In another previous scripture, it said....
Pro 4:22 For they are life unto those that find them, and HEALTH TO ALL THEIR FLESH.
The word, “HEALTH” means, “MEDICINE”. Medicine is what a doctor prescribes to his patients. Usually, on the bottle, it says, “TAKE ONCE A DAY, OR AS NEEDED”. Something along those lines. I don't know of any medicine you take once and you are healed.
The previous verse says.....
Pro 4:20 My son, ATTEND TO MY WORDS; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Pro 4:21 LET THEM NOT DEPART FROM THINE EYES; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
Pro 4:22 For they are life unto those that find them, and HEALTH TO ALL THEIR FLESH.
The Word is something you take every single day of your life, not just once!
After Jesus had healed a paralyzed man, he found him in the temple and said to him..... (John 5:5-9)
John 5:14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, “see, you are well! SIN NO MORE, THAT NOTHING WORSE MAY HAPPEN TO YOU.”
You might be healed one day or many days, and then it is possible that sickness could come back upon you!
Confessing our sins daily or as needed is absolutely vital to staying well!!! Give the Devil no place in you or your family!
