Am i holding on too tight
This is my question
Should i try with all my might
Or stand corrected
I'm giving all i have to give
Is it enough
Consider this
Relinquishing my path i laid
Let go of plans
It's a fair trade
He gave His life
He gave his all
Nothing i gave
Compares at all
Dreams are dreampt
It matters not
Our lives are His
My future's bought

I like it...the last line reminds me of the quote ..."Christ took over my life, and there`s no turning back"

Dear sister Daizy

Thank you for your poem

I read your poem yesterday and was trying to fathom the depths of what 'He gave His all' actually means..... And getting lost in those words I only know that His love is totally unfathomable, uncomparable, amazing

Later on my young daughters were asking about the Lords death on the cross for us....and in simple childlike terms were saying....Did it hurt, Did the nails hurt, Did it hurt more than falling over etc etc. Which made me think even more of what He gave and the pains He bore.

He gave His life
He gave His all
Nothing i gave
Compares at all

And nothing ever experienced by men can compare to even a fraction of what the Lord went through for us at Calvary

As many were astonied at Thee; His visage was so marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men:
Isaiah 52:14

And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Mark 15:34

Thank You dear Lord Jesus for giving Your all for us at Calvary and for Your unfathomable love for us. And dear Lord when we bow before Thee in heaven we will praise Thee as we ought for all that You gave for us.

The Lord bless you sister

Julia
