STEPHEN HAWKING SAYS GOD IS NOT NECESSARY

Stephen Hawking: God was not needed to create the Universe [Excerpts]

The Big Bang was the result of the inevitable laws of physics and did not need God to spark the creation of the Universe, Stephen Hawking has concluded.

The scientist has claimed that no divine force was needed to explain why the Universe was formed.

In his latest book, The Grand Design, an extract of which is published in Eureka magazine in The Times, Hawking said: "Because there is a law such as gravity, the Universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the Universe exists, why we exist."

He added: "It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch paper and set the Universe going."

In A Brief History of Time, Prof Hawking's most famous work, he did not dismiss the possibility that God had a hand in the creation of the world.

He wrote in the 1988 book: "If we discover a complete theory, it would be the ultimate triumph of human reason - for then we should know the mind of God."

In his new book he rejects Sir Isaac Newton's theory that the Universe did not spontaneously begin to form but was set in motion by God.

In June this year Prof Hawking told a Channel 4 series that he didn't believe that a "personal" God existed. He told Genius of Britain: "The question is: is the way the universe began chosen by God for reasons we can't understand, or was it determined by a law of science? I believe the second. If you like, you can call the laws of science 'God', but it wouldn't be a personal God that you could meet, and ask questions."

(Roberts, "Stephen Hawking: God was not needed to create the Universe," London Daily Telegraph Online, 09/02/10).

[TBC: Hawking is advancing a theory without support. He postulates a law ("such as gravity"), but never answers the question as to where the law came from. "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools" (Romans 1:22).]

An intelligent man who knows nothing.
Where oh where did all this come form Mr Hawkins? What material was used in that fictitious bang and where did it come from?

Surprising statements by Mr Hawkins.

Mr Hawkins said, "Because there is a law such as gravity, the Universe can and will create itself from nothing."

If this quote is correct then there is an obvious paradox.

From what I understand of the theory of the Big Bang, the singularity appears. Before the singularity appears there is nothing. This nothing, means no matter, no space, no laws of gravity.

Then suddenly, with no duration of time, this singularity is there. Matter from nothing. Or in mathematical terms:
matter = 0 to matter > 0

More importantly, at the instant of the singularity occuring gravity also occurs. But, Hawkins implies that when gravity exists creation can occur. Do you see the paradox.

The Big Bang theory is a gigantic extrapolation of the available data.
It is special creation, for anyone who decides to think it through.
Talk about the cart before the horse.

Science is struggling to understand gravity, let alone an immense question such as the Big Bang.

I recently saw a documentary on gravity. Scientists were smashing sub-atomic particles into one another. They then measured the resulting energy which was less than what it should have been.
They, theoretically surmised that a gravitron had been created and had slipped into another dimension.

If this was true, then the scientists will have to travel into the next dimension to find the gravitron. Then they can prove thier theory.
If in fact it is a gravitron. Highly speculative or what. How do these people recieve funding to follow such research?

Biblical creation is much easier to follow, based on the simple premise that God has always existed. This is not science, nor was it intended to be. But, the theory above is not science either, the event can never be observed, it is not repeatable, hence never verified.

Ah, what a fool. Nevermind. His intelligence is wasted now. Hopefully he awakens again and sees the truth. God is needed. Gravity and all the laws of universe are pretty much proof of design. The universe is like a computer and gravity and all the the other laws of space are like features that automatically fix errors and make sure the universe is always balanced.

With that said, I also will say that God is the greatest artist ever.
