New here. I don't have a lot to say, but I will make a couple of posts on
the falling away, spiritual deception, God's word, and one's attitude/opinion
of God and His word. Its all connected. Spiritual deception is dangerous
because the person in it, doesn't know he/she is being deceived, but that
what he/she thinks and believes is correct. Dangerous situation to be in.
I was in spiritual deception for a long time, before God pulled me out.
It was a deception of attitude and opinion of God and God's word, and this
is AFTER I was born again. I had no idea of the root cause and that I was
wrong, until God pulled me out. I can now spot this deception in others, by
what they say, because that reflects attitude and opinion. I spent a long
time in those shoes. All I can do is point it out and let the reader go to
God about it.

Welcome abroad Trax,
Pray that you find growth, fellowship with like minded brothers & sisters in Jesus Christ here at TJ.

I look forward to reading your post on the subject of deception. Difficult to break the barrier, but through the convicting power of the Holy Spirit, and the truth of Scripture we know it is possible.

Just remember sometimes the best method of showing others is the very testimony we have lived. Do this in Love, and you will have been faithful, not only in your words, but as a servant of the Most High!

So, once again be welcome Trax.

With deception comes the need to be able to discern. Charles Spurgeon has one of the best quotes I've come across on discernment.
"Discernment is not a matter of simply telling the difference between right and wrong; rather it is telling the difference between right and almost right."

I see a Spiritual Deception definition as the result of not following or obeying the Word of God. When a believer adopts any thought, doctrine, or practice which is contrary to God’s written word then he enters into the spiritual darkness of heresy and deception.

I see so many here that do not agree on what should be the correct doctrine for a many a subject. I can only assume that during any disagreement on doctrine, there is one wrong and one right for the most part. This being true, then one is living under spiritual deception and the other is living under truth. With both sticking to their theology to the end (both supported by adequate scripture reference), then who determines which is under deception?

I have found that, when you have a certain stance or interpretation, testing it is the best coarse of action. Take a verse or a doctrine and if the outcome is good, at least positive, then proceed until you have the truth. If the outcome is or can be negative (like a bondage) then you are on the wrong track.
Being un-born or not saved does cause its problems with deception. Nonetheless, Spiritual Deception is an intereting topic and I have not seen it here at TJ; I look forward to you getting it started,,,Welcome!!

I face a problem. The problem of putting approximately 2 years of education, by God, into posts, that are long enough to
cover the material, but short enough to hold short attention spans. It needs to be long and short at the same time.

I agree it's so hard to say all we want about God but keep it short enough at the same time , try not to fall into that trap ! We are always up to reading a post as long it is glorifying to God ! Rev

God bless you, and I know that God will give you the best words words when I it is His will for a topic to be covered. Welcome and enjoy the forums!
