With a historical and unprecedented, virtually shutdown world, I though perhaps it would be a good idea to think positive and make a list of what to be grateful at this point in time. The world has virtually shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, aka [HASH=4900]#covid19[/HASH] virus. However, there are things to be thankful for, despite the hardships and economic effects we're going through.
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. -1 Thessalonians 5:18
So, I challenged myself to think of 19 things to be grateful for.
1. Internet. We're still instantly connected to loved ones at any time. That includes info, assurance that the ones you love are well. You're informed instantly.
2. Food. No food shortage. Food deliveries from local supermarkets thanks to the Internet
3. Entertainment. Streaming media like Netflix and such. Keeps us busy and quite honestly, sane.
4. Solitude. Most people live a rushed lifestyle. The pandemic has forced us to quarantine and spend time alone or with our family. The way God intended. Priorities.
5. No Riots. I have yet to read a report of any riot as a result of the pandemic.
6. No Looting. Same as above reason.
7. Government. The US government (for example) has created a stimulus package to assist those affected by the shutdown and those out of a job.
8. Creativity. The stay at home quarantine has stimulated people to get creative with work ideas, family fun, other ideas they may never have thought of outside the circumstances.
9. Simplicity. The pandemic forced us to stay home and get back to basics. Simplistic, slowed down lifestyle.
10. Social Media. We can stay in touch instantly via social media mediums including video chat. Technology pays off nicely here.
11. Medical Workers. They're on the front line helping the sick around the clock, around the world non-stop.
12. Medical Labs. Scientists around the world are working tirelessly trying to study the covid-19 virus and come up with a vaccine.
13. Accessibility. Restaurants are still delivering delicious food. Online stores still delivery goods and groceries, necessities 24/7.
14. Shipping. Delivery workers like UPS, FedEx are on the front-line also delivering goods every day to the people quarantined.
15. Churches. Many churches are broadcasting their weekly sermons online. Again, technology pays off generously here.
16. Unison. Generally, the population of each nation is following the social distancing rule. We've come into agreement for the betterment of the end result.
17. Hope. Most people are hopeful that this will pass soon. Faith is greater than fear.
18. Virtual Schooling. Online schooling, the kids are still proceeding with their educational classes. Technology again is sweet.
19. Pollution. Less pollution from cars, airplanes and other automotive vehicles on the road, temporarily.
Please share this on social media and pass on. We need [HASH=4888]#encouragement[/HASH] and [HASH=1028]#hope[/HASH].
