Today's Scripture is:
1 Corinthians 1:27-28

"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the lowly things of the world and the things which are despised, God has chosen."

GOD'S WORD

Scripture Reference: 1 Corinthians 1:27-28

Throughout Scripture God has used ordinary people to affect His kingdom in many extraordinary ways. However, there were a couple of things that set these people apart. Each one had a personal relationship with God and they had an open and a ready heart. In addition, they made themselves available and they were willing to obey God.

Talent, ability, education or even ordination is not a prerequisite to being used by God. Accomplishments, awards and recognition will not ensure anyone a position on God's team. Those are man's standards -- not God's.
In 2 Timothy 1:9, Paul tells us, God has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose. God has a purpose and a plan for each and every one of us, not some of us, but for everyone that He has saved. Yes, God has chosen even the likes of you and me. Are we ready and willing to obey and serve the God that gave His Son for us, so that we might have eternal life? Are we willing to say like Isaiah, here I am Lord send me?

One last thought. God doesn't need any of us to accomplish His purpose and plan. He just wants to bless us by allowing us a small part in His great plan.

God bless you all. Have a great day.
