Today's Scripture is: Hebrews 11:6

"Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."

GOD'S WORD

Scripture Reference: Hebrews 11:6

In these words I hope you find the same encouragement that I receive. Although the verse begins in a negative tense without faith, it certainly finishes on a positive note. It makes it perfectly clear that it is our faith and trust in God that pleases Him most, and those who truly seek God will be blessed. It's not our works, our deeds or our attempt of righteousness, but our faith and earnest desire to know and fellowship with God that pleases Him most.

In chapter eleven of Hebrews, we are given a number of examples of great men of faith. In fact, they are often referred to as the "heroes of faith," yet as we look closely at their lives, they were much like us. At times they had weaknesses and failures of faith and they were not without sin, but what set them apart in the eyes of God, were their hearts. They diligently sought first, the God who is faithful though they were not always faithful. They sought obedience and righteousness and God was pleased, because although at times they failed, they sought Him with their hearts.

Faith in God is more than believing that He exists, it is seeking the One who can be found. It's exciting to know that He desires to be found. Think of that, God is anxiously waiting to be found, because He has sought after and continues to seek after all His sheep, especially those who are lost.

May our life's pursuit be, to seek the One who desires to be found.

God bless you all. Have a great day.
