Hebrews 4:10 KJV
For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

Hebrews 4:10 CJB
For the one who has entered God’s rest has also rested from his own works, as God did from his.

Hebrews 4:11 KJV
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Hebrews 4:11 CJB
Therefore, let us do our best to enter that rest; so that no one will fall short because of the same kind of disobedience.

Hebrews 4:1 KJV
Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

Hebrews 4:1 CJB
Therefore, let us be terrified of the possibility that, even though the promise of entering his rest remains, any one of you might be judged to have fallen short of it;

So what is this rest? A place? A state of being? An attitude?

How about drawing a picture in your mind here of a rest. Abide in me God says....Rest and abide come out to the same thing.

So....The picture.....See yourself as leaning back into Him...Like you did when you were a child sitting on your daddy's lap...OK See yourself sitting on God's lap, leaning back into Him...He wraps his arms around you and you simply relax, allowing Him to love you...and you soaking up that Love... That is not something that would be hard to imagine because it's something that we all dream of already.. Its the thing we crave the most..

As God holds you, he sees a small speck of dirt on you and brushes it away. Poof it's gone. God pats your back and whispers words of love and praise to you....Another speck of sin gets brushed off of you....
You are a spirit, you worship God in spirit and in truth...You don't need to wrestle with sin, you are dead to sin...All you need to do is to abide in Him, rest in Him.... Let Him deal with the sin in your life....
All you have to do is to trust Him and allow Him to raise you up to be what He wants you to be. All you have to do is love and trust Him..and to obey instantly when He asks you to do something...

Many of the verse example you gave have to do with death, rest from the struggles of life.
However you have a good point. Sometimes we do need to rest in Him.
Matt 11:28-29; Mark 6:31; Rom 15:32;

While we do need this rest, sometimes we cannot rest. Sometimes the "rest" is delayed.
Matt 26:45; Mark 14:41; - sometimes we shouldn't be sleeping and resting.
Luke 23:56; There is a sabbath for rest, but every day isn't a sabbath.
2 Cor 2:13; Sometimes there is no rest, even for our spirit.
Psalms 23 says he makes us lie down in green pastures beside the still waters.

There are some that will never enter into this final rest (from the struggles of life).
Heb 3:11; Heb 3:18; (a few verses you posted above goes with this... Heb 4:1-11; )
They shall not enter my rest... Heb 3:11;
Those who were disobedient could not enter into the rest... Heb 3:18;
We may come short of entering that rest... Heb 4:1;

What is this rest that Hebrews 3 and 4 are talking about?
Hebrews 3:8-18; is talking about the Israelites that never got to enter the promised land... at the end
of their journey.
Some of us will not get to enter into "the promised land" (not Canaan, but heaven) at the end of our
journey either.

What do the verses I used have to do with death? They are about entering His rest....You really need to explain it to me...But truly my friend I believe you need to pray about this before you answer.....what these verses speak to is not the physical body..But the spirit man

Death is rest. Rest from the struggles of life. ( Isa 57:2; Dan 12:13; )
Do we start at the front or the back?
Hebrews 4:3-7; is quoting from Psalms 95:7-11;
Psalms 95 is talking about Exod 17:6-7; and Deut 6:15-17;

Canaan, the promised land is being used as a metaphor in both of these places.
Moses and the Israelites struggled through the desert (wilderness) for 40 years.
God was taking them to the promised land. Yet some were not allowed to enter into it.
In fact no one from the generation that was in Egypt.

We are struggling through this life (the wilderness) ... for some of us... it will be longer than 40 years.
But we haven't entered into the promised land (heaven) yet. So of us will never be allowed to enter heaven.
The place of rest.

Hebrews 4 isn't talking about Canaan, or the promised land. It's talking about the rest of heaven in
death. You are correct though, the physical man won't be there.

What about rest in this life?....Listen you are spirit NOW..Just as we are to be walking in health now, is freedom now, in authority now, we are to be resting in Him now...
So my friend you have a choice....Strive to enter that rest now, strive (learn) abide in Him, lean back in Him. To wait till you die to enter in to that rest is live and do in your own strength...not allowing Father Son or Holy Spirit to do things through you. You want to take your hands off and let Father do things through you while you rest in Him....Your strivings are nothing, your trust and obedience is everything. Just pray about it, ok?

There are times when we need to rest in God.
But "this" life isn't all about rest. (Our current earthly life).
Matt 5:16; - let your light shine, that people can see your good works
Matt 9:37-98; The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few, ask God to send more workers.
Matt 10:9-10; those doing Gods work are worthy of support
Matt 20:1-16; is a parable about workers in the kingdom of God (here on earth).
Luke 4:34; Jesus said His food was to do the work of God.
John 6:27; don't work for things that perish, but work for eternal life.
John 9:4; we must work for God as long as it is day... for night is coming.
John 14:12; whoever believes in me (Jesus) will do greater works than I did.
Acts 13:2; set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the works I have called them to.

We aren't saved by works... (especially works of the law). But that doesn't mean
God doesn't expect us to do anything at all.

Romans 16 is full workers in Christ who are commended by Paul.
Rom 16:3; Prisca and Aquila
Rom 16:6; Mary
Rom 16:9; Urbanus and Stachys
Rom 16:12; Tryphaena, Tryphosa, and Persis,
Rom 16:21; Lucius, Jason and Sosipater

1 Cor 3:13; each mans work will be evident when it is tested by fire.
1 Cor 3:14; there will be a reward for the works that make it through the fire.

There are dozens more verses like .....

But Faith without works is dead.
Faith "works" through love - Gal 5:6;
We are created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God has prepared for us. - Eph 2:10;

This life isn't all about resting....
groan.....You're missing the entire point here....Resting is simply taking your hands off..Stopping trying to do it yourself and letting God have His way....'Sometimes', as the saying goes, 'a person can be so heavenly minded, that he is no Earthly good.' In other words he tries to do it all for God and gets in God's way, hindering all of God's work...So...Rest...Let God.....You simply be ready and willing to obey when He calls you.
