Gods’ Angel on Earth
Many years ago a man names Richard died. Being a good Christian, he went to Heaven to be with Jesus. During worship and singing he looked down on Earth and saw great sorrow and loneliness. This saddened him. He knew it must also sadden Jesus and Richard went to Jesus to ask HIM if he could help.
Jesus, I can see the sadness in Your face every time You look down on Earth. As much as I Love being here I think I could be of much service if You would send me back.
I was thinking the same thing, my child. Only it wouldn’t be as you wanted it because you could not live on Earth knowing Me and what Heaven holds for you.
To be a good servant I must think of myself less and more of others. I’d be willing to do anything you said.
First off you couldn’t go back as yourself. People would recognize you and that wouldn’t be good. You can only go back if you are born again. By this I mean you will be born into a new family. All knowledge of ME and Heaven will be erased from your memory. However, I’ll leave, deep in your mind the knowledge that I AM. You will grow-up a fine young man serving others as mankind should. A fine example of my teachings.
I have another question, Lord.
Yes.
I don’t understand what they’re saying. How will I be able to talk to them?
Oh. That’s the easy part. I’ll give you an Angel to teach you how to walk and talk.
How will I know this Angel?
You’ll call her, Mother.
With that, in a blink of the eye, Jesus sent Richard back to Earth. And all that Jesus said came to pass. Richards’ Angel taught him to walk and talk. Growing-up people would often say to his parents, “What did you two do to deserve such a sweet Angel?”
Over many years Richard grew to be someone people could count on. They thought of him as more than just a friend, he was family. He is always there to listen and talk about God and how HE has worked in his life. He always prays for people and invites them to Church. He lifts them up when they are down and gives them a shoulder to cry on. He shares his life’s stories with them and invites them to do the same. He has seen much and been through much but the one thing he holds dear to his heart is knowing Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior. He always share that what God has done for him HE’LL do for them too. They only have to believe and accept Jesus. So, if you ever run into Richard, he’ll have a smile and share Jesus with you. We all want to belong to something and I can’t think of anything better than Jesus. So, pull-up a chair, put on your reading glasses and join me at www.christianforums.com, in the Devotional forum. The stories I post will make you laugh, make you cry but most of all they’ll touch your hearts. I’m a fisher of men, I’ll catch you and Jesus will clean you.
