I have felt the presence of God before, of Christ and of the Holy Spirit.
God the Father is overwhelming, he fills the ceiling of the highest Cathedral. He fills you with peace yet you are wont to hide your eyes from his omnipotence.
God as the Son is a loving warmth, a tenderness and sorrow. He makes you think of His Blood and offers mercy.
The Spirit is fire, pure emotion descending. He makes you want to laugh and to cry at the same time. He is unbridled faith.
I have felt the presence of evil before, of a demon crowding my room with shadows of fear. They whisper lies into you ear.
I have met saints.

Ps: I am not crazy, just open to spiritual presences. I believe God uses this to communicate with me and teach me things.

Each of us has a personal experience with God, for he is our personal Savior.
I'm touched by your post, it is almost poetic.
Love it.
Beautiful.

PS: I dont believe you are crazy at all, I believe God touches each of us in his own personal way, for he alone knows our heart, and meets us there.

I have had even Pastors tell me that God doesn't do those things anymore, and I have to say," That's strange he did it for me!"

Eleven years old, my friend and I riding our bikes into town, were talking along the way ,about Jesus.
WE came to a steep hill, our bikes picked up speed, so we quit talking and paid attention to the road ahead of us.
Just ahead, our side of the road was all washed out from the rains, full of chuck holes and ruts.
I saw the problem, and thought to myself, I'll go around, when I heard a strong masculine voice command, "No! Go through!"
I obeyed, and as we went through a car came up the hill speeding past us.
Had we gone around,we would have been hit head on, I'm sure we would have been killed.
Carol, my friend with me, asked in a shocked voice,"Did God tell you to do that?" I said simply, "Yes, He did!"
I was told, later, those things don't happen anymore! Strange, I'm still alive!
We have no right to try and put God in a box....He's God.
The same yesterday, today, and forever.

wow, Grace

Wow, Grace, that is cool. He must be really looking out for you. I admit, I've never heard God's voice before but I believe he has communicated to me through thoughts.
Even when I feel like our Lord is far away, I have to remember he's watching me. I also must try to have quite time to seek His presence.
"Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."
- Matthew 28:20
If you don't mind me asking, How did you come to Christ?

If you don't mind me asking, How did you come to Christ?

"Father, into your hands, I commend my spirit" + + +

Once again it is something He did.......

Mom must have started me in Church about the time I was 5, but we moved from Puyallup Wa.to Dieringer Wa. about the same time.
The school we were put into also had a Church service being held in it so we started there.
It was a small Bible Church.
For over a year, I heard the invitation, If Jesus is knocking on your hearts door, raise your hand if you want him to come in and be your savior.......
Well, I was a very literal minded child, very serious,he hadn't knocked on my heart yet, but I did believe.
One Sunday morning the invitation was given again, in the same manner, except this time I felt three knocks on my heart.
Instantly I raised my hand, I knew it was Jesus, and I wanted him to come into my heart.
I was 6 1/2 years old.
They took me into a back room and asked me some questions which I affirmed, but they thought I was to young so they waited until I was nine, before I was baptized.
I knew what had happened to me,but they didn't ,and that's OK.
Jesus knew too, and that was all it took.
Then when I was eleven is when he spoke to me, and the story above.

I would add, I have never heard his voice again, like that.
God doesn't seem to do the same thing twice in the same way!
We humans would try to make a religion out of it, or form a new church surrounding it.....why you cant be saved unless Jesus knocks literally on your heart etc. LOL
Or you can only be saved if you speak in tongues , which I was told once.
Well, why God allowed these experience's I can only guess, he knew why, and I know he used the one where he spoke to me to draw me back to him again, after being so hurt I turned my back on him for 10 years, then ,that is another story! LOL :embarasse

My comming to the Lord

Grace, I wanted to tell you the non-condensed version of my coming to the Lord. It's very long but I think I could trust you with these experiences. Should I private message you because it is going to be A LOT to take in. Unlike you, I have not taken Christ seriously growing up but had a "conversion experience" I guess. This is no cliche testimony, though I promise.
Tell you what, I'll send it and you can reply.
