And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of [mine] hand hath gotten me this wealth. But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for [it is] he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as [it is] this day. Deuteronomy 8:17-18

Deuteronomy 8:1-18 cautions that if your possessions increase, don't get the idea that you produced this wealth. Instead, you are to remember the days when you had next to nothing and trusted God to provide for you--and He did.

If you congratulate yourself, God may see to it that you lose your gains to teach you to trust Him again. Then this saying will come to pass: "You have sown much, and bring in little…and he who earns wages, earns wages to put into a bag with holes" (Haggai 1:6).

Even if you long to dream up the perfect get-rich-quick plan, God may shoot a hole in your balloon and cause it to dissipate overnight (Psalm 64:6-7). Even if it worked for other people, God can see to it that it doesn't work for you--like joining a multilevel marketing scheme too late. Remember, God is the One who gives wealth…or not.

Prayer: Lord, help me never to put my trust in my own ability to gain wealth. Help me to always remember that, ultimately, You are my Provider, the One who gives me the ability to earn wealth.

we are simply steward its Gods money, if he is blessing us with great wealth it is so we can bless other people with it, not so we can have a better life style, for the bible teaches to be content in all things.

1 Timothy 6:6-9
Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.

and if we are wealthy

1 Timothy 6:17-19
As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.

Thanks for sharing those verses Brother Dave.

The right understanding that we should have.

With the Love of Christ Jesus Brother.
