Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Psalm 20:7 NKJV
You might watch movies and assume that men are willing to use brute force to advance a cause—good or bad. Conventional wisdom says you meet strength with strength—and while this is true, you cannot adequately meet opposing strength with only the strength you possess.
God’s strength offsets your weak spots. You could enlist the help of as many willing people as you can find, and it still would not compare favorably to placing your trust, hope, and confidence in God alone.
The kind of decision that places trust in God requires faith—and thinking. Faith starts the process, and then thinking plays a role, because once you believe, then you can really begin to understand things that didn’t make sense when you didn’t believe.
It’s very hard to trust both God and the strength of humans. The idea behind trusting in God is that in the difficult moments you’ll face, the best answer will be the one that arrived—without any doubt—by the hand of a very good God.
Prayer: Father, it’s not hard to think everything is up to me. You have given me things to take care of, but I can’t do it alone. Thanks for using my trust to deliver Your strength. Believing the impossible is possible because You have always done what I can’t.
