All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 2 Timothy 3:16 NLT

Paul wanted his young protégé, a pastor named Timothy, to understand just how important Bible reading is for the Christian man. Paul wrote that the Bible is:
- Inspired by God. This means that the Holy Spirit gave the men who wrote the books of the bible the words that God Himself wanted us to read. That makes the Bible the most trustworthy book ever written.
- Useful for teaching Christians truth. Every word of the bible, without exception, is God’s truth.
- Useful for helping you see what is wrong in your life. The Bible gives you instructions for making course corrections in your life of faith.
- The Book that corrects you and teaches you to do what is right. When you have questions about how God wants you to live, you will find answers in the Bible.
- Prayer: Father in heaven, thank You for providing me with all I need to know about living unshakably for You through Your written Word. Give me a hunger for Your Word and the empowerment I need to do what it says.
