Giving an "account" to God in our "t , t, & t" (EX 38:21-40:38)

PARASHA: "P'Kudei" (Accountings of)

EX 30:21-40:38........................1 KINGS 7:51-8:21....................2 COR 3:7-18

These are the final chapters in the book of "Shemot" (Exodus) it ends with a blessed tone, the funds for the tabernacle have been provided and "accounted for" and the design has come from God himself through Moshe, he has given the instructions according to the "Heavenly blueprints" and all is being assembled.
Most of the two final chapters tell us a "reckoning" of the materials, how much, gold, silver, bronze, etc. was used. Only in the gold alone, if one was to convert the "talents" (weight) of gold, in dollars, we would come to the sum of $30,000,000 worth of gold to build the tabernacle, and that is not counting the silver.

In building any edifice; offices, churches, synagogues, etc, we look at these things,
1. the blueprints, 2. the cost 3. the finances, 4, purchasing the materials, the "accounting for" the money, materials, etc with an accountant, and the actual construction of the building.
With the "Mishkan" (tabernacle) which would be "God's House" where HIS people would come and meet with him, Adonai himself drew up the blueprints, HE gave them to Moshe who memorized them, since I don't think he had anything to write with when he was with YHVH on Mt Sinai for 40 days and nights, Moshe relayed these blueprints to the chosen workers, collected the materials, then "accounted for" all that came into the building project, and finally, all the pieces are put together, and God's house is ready for occupancy.

When we look at our spiritual life with HaSHem, we also will have to "account for" three basic areas in our lives, our time, talent, and treasure, the three Ts. One day, all believers will stand before Yeshua, and either receive or lose rewards based on how we managed our time, money, and our spiritual gifts.

We see in the final verses, the "glory cloud" covered the Mishkan, and no one, not even Moshe could enter, HOWEVER, we see that before, Moshe ENTERED the glory cloud on Sinai, how was that? Well, one can read that when Moshe was on Sinai, YHVH "invited" him to come into the glory cloud and have fellowship, whereas now, NO ONE was invited into the Mishkan, save the "Ruach Elohim" the Spirit of God alone. It is like standing in front of your neighbor's house, your neighbor does not come to the door and invite you in, you are going to stand outside until he does, this is the same situation.

TODAY, we are blessed that we can come to our Heavenly Father at ANY TIME, day or night and HE will fellowship with us, through the "glory" of the "Ruach Ha Kodesh" that Yeshua himself sent to us. We do not have to wait for an invitation, we have already been invited, we received that invitation 2000 years ago at a place called Calvary, during the time of Passover. and the invitation is ALWAYS open, to all those who will COME.

1 KINGS 7:51-8:21

Here we see King Solomon when he finishes the Temple, which took the place of the tabernacle, the tabernacle was a movable structure, the temple was a fixed structure, but we see how YHVH is represented in both structures, he moves around, he is EVERWHERE and can go ANYWHERE. where ever a group of believers are, HE is there, HE is not confined in a building, it is just more comfortable to be inside a building (with the exception of summer time and no AC) Solomon threw a 7 day celebration and fed ALL of Israel, with about 30,000 bulls, that's a lot of roast beef and fajitas. It is a joyful time when the LORD is in our presence, and we are in HIS presence. The most important part of the temple was the Holy of Holies, the Aron Ha Kodesh was placed in there, The Ark of the Covenant had the tablets of the commandments in it, it symbolized our relationship with Adonai, The presence of God was there in the temple, and in every House of God, as long as there are believers who come to worship HIM, He will ALWAYS be there.

2 COR 3:7-18

Rav Shaul writes to the church at Corinth, and compares the glory of before, when it was there with Moshe, the glory of God, the covenant at Sinai, which through the commandments, showed us our faults, our sinful nature, and the wages of sin = death, How much more is the glory of Messiah Yeshua, who covers us with his Spirit, we may not be able to see this glory physically, but we KNOW by FAITH that it covers us by the Ruach Ha Kodesh, the Holy Spirit seals us as being part of the Family of God, part of the Commonwealth of Israel.

Shabbat Shalom....................rabbi Ben Avraham
