BLESSED ARE THOSE WHOSE LAWLESS DEEDS ARE FORGIVEN

BLESSED ARE THOSE WHOSE LAWLESS DEEDS ARE FORGIVEN, AND WHOSE SINS ARE COVERED; BLESSED ISTHE MAN TO WHOM THE LORD SHALL NOT IMPUTE SIN.( ROMANS 4:7-8 *NKJV )

Dear Believers,

The Apostle Paul once said: "FOR WHAT I DO IS NOT THEGOOD I WANT TO DO; NO, THE EVIL I DO NOT WANT TO DO--THIS I KEEP DOING. WHAT A WRETCHED MAN I AM! WHO WILL RESCUE ME FROM THIS BODY OF DEATH?" ( ROMANS 7:19 & 24 )

After all, to remain sinless was a strugglefor him, as well as, the rest of the Apostle's! For sin has alwaysbeen a struggle for mankind ever since the days of Adam and Eve! Therefore when we slip and sin it is very important to ask ourHeavenly Father to forgive us.

For it is written: IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST AND WILL FORGIVE US OUR SINS AND PURIFY US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.( 1 JOHN 1:9 )

Thus we become cleansed and forgiven from ourpast sins, and that includes all of them! After all it is written: "COME NOW, LET US REASON TOGETHER," SAYS THE LORD. "THOUGH YOUR SINS ARELIKE SCARLET, THEY SHALL BE WHITE AS SNOW; THOUGH THEY ARE RED AS CRIMSON, THEY SHALL BELIKE WOOL." ( ISAIAH 1:18 )

So Believers, just be the very best person that you can be, andif you slip and sin once in a while, do not think that God doesn'tlove you anymore. For no one is perfect, however once therewas One, sinless and blameless, and filled with love, and theyCrucified Him.....

Thank you for that post shortlady.

Another thing I noticed. In Romans 7 paul talks lots about his struggle with sin and I think all believers can empaphise with his condition, because we have all been there and still go there!

I find it such an encouragement that following from this (slightly depressing) passage that Paul wrote about struggling with sin, we have Romans 8:1

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" [NIV]

The word 'therefore' is perculiar. It suggests that it is not IN SPITE of our sin, but BECAUSE of our sin that we can be confident that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. This would mean that Paul is saying because you are conscious of sin and because you are struggling against it, it is precisely BECAUSE of that that you can have confidence that you are a Christian.

And i think that is true. If we are not fighting against sin and coming up against it that either means we are perfect or that we are not conscious of our sin (and therefore not conscious of our salvation). Given that no one is perfect, then the latter must be true.

So we can take ENCOURAGEMENT when we struggle with sin, because we know that there is no condemnation for us!

Amen. There is no more condemnation for those that are in Christ Jesus. But we are encourage to run this race and be faithful. We sin in thought , word or indeed and we have to be mindful of that.We must watch our thoughts and keep our minds on Jesus the prize because this is when we are in perfect peace. When our eyes, minds and our hearts are on Jesus Christ.
