Focus Issues?

Does anyone else think that many christians are too focused on prophecy, end time events, doctrinal dfferences and so on; rather than focusing on doing the work of Christ?

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with these things. I just see many who are so caught up in everything else that they don't have time or a desire to reach out.

It's a lot easier to talk about something that requires so little to do. Take witnessing it requires a lot of prep work and learning what about your testimony and what you are going to say.

Any preacher that is worth his salt, knows end time stdies can really draw a croud. When you get down to basics Jesus said "NOT YET. Si there are a great number of theories about how and when Jesus will come agai.

I think sharing Jesus is much better use of time. I know durring my years in service to Jesus, there are many who do not know who Jesus really is. I totally disagree that just saying a prayer after some preacher on TV is not surrendering to Jesus. I also hate this I started goving to Brother so and so's ministry and now we make all our bills and so blessed...Thanks to brother so and so. This speal is used on many Direct TV christian Channels. Perhaps TBN and 700 Club are noteworthy of these tatics and I wonder how many new christians faith has been shipwrecked because of false promises and Scripture twisting. I pray Jesus will come soon.

I super wonderful book to read is NOT A FAN by Kyle Idleman published by Zondervan. This is a life changing book. But by far the Bible is life from YAHWEH him self. God bless all who read this.

If we are not winning others for Christ, we are failing in our duties. We are told to be witnesses, lights, salt, ambassadors......we are told to go into the world and preach the gospel.

I agree farout, many who repeat a prayer after someone might just as well recite nursery rhymes, it will do as much good. As for the money issue, I believe this scripture applies...

2Peter 2:
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Much of what is going on burns me up....
It is time the born again christians got a burden for the lost
