Flip Through The Words
Their was a man walking down a road one day noticed an apple tree
Took one look at an apple and though how good it looked picked it
Failed to look at the other side to see the worm till took a bite
When are we going to look deeper then the surface of the words we read
Like a book we flip pages till the end to get the full meanings an understanding
In God’s word each of His words is a book to understand the meanings
Their was two guys walking along one day came to a log in the way
One says I bet I can jump that log the other said he cant better not
Well he took that jump anyway failed to see the ledge on the other side
When are we going to look further before we leaping into conclusions
God’s word isn’t a game or a truth to be taken lightly stop messing with
Self-righteousness and leading the lost further astray
A guy was showing off to his girl took a leap into the water 50 feet below
Now he lays in a hospital paralyzed failing to see the rock below the surface
Oh how he wishes could do it over again
When are we look deeper before we leap into the words of God
Before crashing below the words we thought we knew an understood
God’s thoughts God’s ways are not our own as His words
Love is only one word of God’s with many meanings and concepts
Love is caring, blind, compassionate, understanding above many more
Love is willing to die for you so you could live again
Look deeper before you bite or leap into words not of your own
Look over under and deep within the words of God to truly understand
